This Beetle is a solid, completely rust-free ONE-OWNER California VW, residing here its entire life in the SF Bay area since being sold new. Serviced regularly by AUTOSOLUTIONS of Belmont, CA. They have extensive E-records for service, available if interested. This Beetle is completely stock and original. Low 113.9K original miles, low for any car of that vintage. It always starts immediately, idles and drives excellent, quietly and smoothly on both town and on the highway. There is NO rust nor corrosion anywhere else as it would be expected from a California-lived vehicle ( hard-pressed condition to find in any beyond the Sierra mountains). BEWARE OF RUST BUCKETS COMING FROM THE EAST COAST~! ( it's beyond me why anyone would want to buy an East coast car with potential hidden rust ). This Volkswagen Beetle comes equipped with most standard features and amenities available at that time, to include moonroof, Power windows, mirrors, alarm and more. Nice set of factory wheels with radial tires mounted on ( with approximately 85% tread remaining). There are NO ABS, CHECK ENGINE, SERVICE DUE nor any lights on. Stock 2.0L engine runs flawlessly. In addition, this example has the desirable 5-Speed manual transmission, which is nearly bulletproof. As it is well documented in all VW circles, the automatic models were plagued with a myriad of problems and flaws ( just like on the A4 Audis); thus, that potential issue is not a concern ( which is why they can be found inexpensively). NO overheating issues, NO leaks nor noises to contend with. NONE. Manual transmission shifts very well into all forward and reverse gears. Clutch engages smoothly and without drag or slippage. Power disc brakes brake smoothly without pulsation. Power steering and Power windows ( both work), dual Power mirrors, cruise control, stereo and cold A/C. A comfy yet simple car to upkeep, just like the old iconic Beetle. Finish is its original Metallic Blue factory finish. Still shines quite nicely. The body, pan, undercarriage and every single angle and seam are super solid considering this classic Beetle is eighteen years young ! NO RUST WHATSOEVER, unlike East-coast examples where the elements and salted roads have taken their toll on the body panels and undercarriage, a hindrance nearly impossible to repair! Its original Gray-leather upholstery is in very good condition and has held up well. There are no cracks or tears on any of the leather in the seats. Overall, a clean interior, door panels, dash and trunk area. The photos show the Beetle accurately. NON SMOKER vehicle, ever. Currently registered through 2017, with a clean, clear CA title ( the car had personalized plates on it, but I have already requested a set of regular plates which will be in the car). In addition, it has passed its stringent CA Emissions inspection with flying colors.A very solid, clean and 100% rust-free Volkswagen bug, with better-than-average miles and a good engine, and the desirable 5spd Manual transmission.
