BMW totally redesigned the MINI in 2007. Virtually EVERYTHING was improved. I bought this car 2 years ago off eBay with the intent of fixing it up to play with on weekends. I immediately installed KONI FSD Struts/Shocks ($895.). "FSD shock absorbers are a smart suspension system adjusting automatically to road conditions as well as driving style. And all of this in a fraction of a second. FSD guarantees greater stability, greater control and thus greater driving pleasure." This made a HUGE difference in comfort and performance. I also put in a new front windshield and chrome windshield trim. I also immediately installed window tint all around and "limo tint" to the sunroof. This has greatly improved comfort during our very hot Texas summers. Unfortunately, I haven't had the time to work or play with the car. I've only put approx. 3,000 miles on it in 2 years. The car runs great and just needs some minor cosmetic touch up to the paint and the bonnet stripes need to be replaced (see pics). The stripes can be purchased from MINI Mania for $32.95. Brakes are good and tires pass inspection, but new owner will probably want to replace fairly soon if this is going to be a daily driver. The interior is very clean. No smoking odors. The car is usually garaged, but when kept outside, I always cover it. Cover included. (See Pic). Carfax confirms this MINI has never been in an accident.
