You cannot get anything more original than this... 1971 GMC K1500 Super Custom. True barn find, previously found in Lovelock NV, this truck is an amazing example of originality in every single aspect, has an extremely low mileage on body, suspension, motor and transmission.The interior on this truck is completely stock as it came from factory and have never been replaced, even the seat and the dash is the same, it's all there complete. The exterior has never been repainted before and is laser straight and is an original black truck with all the trim intact and original as well. Had it completely detailed inside out and was buffed to remove all the paint oxidation and bring all the shine back and it looks amazing for having the same paint that left the factory. For being such an original truck, it will show some age because it was in a barn for years until was found 6 months ago and brought back to life so then was purchased by me and have it to where it stands right now. This truck can be driven daily, can't change the fact of driving one of the most original GMC's out there, true character, never been in a show and never been for sale to the public before. To give you some info about mechanical, suspension, body etc. Some info please read below. Engine:350 Small Block 250 HP, stock motor with 25200 original miles, has brand new cap and rotor with brand new coil, spark plugs and wires were also replaced with all the filters and fluids were drained and toped with new oil.Has stock intake manifold and carburetor which was previously rebuilt, new fuel and air filter; Also has the same stock exhaust manifold and stock dual exhaust behind the cab. Starts right up every time and does not overheats or smokes at all. Some hoses were replaced and thermostat was also replaced with new coolant fluid added.Under the hood everything looks like it would came from the factory except with the age "patina" onto. Transmission:Muncie SM465 4 speed manual transmission with the low gear mated to a new process 205 transfer case; Transmission shifts thru all the gears with no problems and smooth, 4wd works perfect and the hubs lock like they should, everything is fully operational. It is geared with 3.73's in the rear. Interior & Exterior:The seat is the same original seat, has never been recovered or reupholstered before and has no rips on the bottom but has two little cracks on the top but nothing too bad or destructed. Can't find nothing more original than this, I can assure you that! The dash is also the same one that came with the truck and it shows some age but like I said nothing bad, the radio is not the original but the dash has never been cut off before and can be checked if needed. Sun visors are also original and are all there intact, the whole interior looks super clean and was also detailed and buffed, the floor liner was replaced with a new one and floor padding was also installed with new rubber for the cab/doors.There is two little floor section that were previously replaced by first owner long time ago before he passed, so there is absolutely NO rust in the cab except on a very tiny spot on the lower driver side cab corner which was treated with rust inhibitor to prevent further damage. The rocker panels are original and never been replaced and are spotless clean, the roof is also rust free as the whole body on the truck.The body has no rust or bad dents and has never been repainted before and was recently gone thru a extensive detail work. There is no words that can be use to describe this truck, is for sure one of the best i've seen around in a long time if your into stock original trucks...The wooden panel boards on the bed are still there, complete and not a single piece is missing and guess what.. yes still the original... So bottomline this truck is one of the best examples of originality if not the best around. Suspension, Brakes & Tires:The suspension has never been hacked or cut in any way and still has the stock same leaf springs which were installed by the factory since new, brand new shocks were installed front and back. Brand new rotors were also installed with brand new pads in the front and brand new shoes in the rear.Brand new set of Goodyear tires 31x10.5 R15 with stock rallye wheels and hub caps, the tread on the tires have less than 100 miles on them. Everything is fully operational, brakes works perfect as the parking brake also working properly. Electrical:All the lights, gauges works perfect, brand new fuel sending unit was installed, the flasher was also replaced and the cams were replaced on the turn signal switch. All the bulbs were also replaced mostly. Everything works! Heater and defrost works perfect! No A/C equipped on this truck. But this is easy to find from vintage air. Buy this truck for way less than what it's worth and still have plenty to invest in making it yours, this truck will keep raising value over the time and this is not the typical Chevrolet K10 you may see more out there, this is an original black GMC truck SHORT BED. GMC were much better built and tougher than Chevrolet according to GM, I've done some research and they weren't many black trucks SWB released from GMC, this one has been babied since it was new and still feels like it runs like new. This is a 46 year old truck, a true pick up truck. There was an auction recently here of a 1972 Chevy k10, biddings went up to 48k and was not sold, that truck was not original in any how, motor was not original and exterior color wasn't even original, this truck is a true black exterior truck with black interior not an upgrade. So please have that in mind at the time of bidding. A 2000 dollar non refundable deposit is required immediate after auction ends and rest can be pay in cash, or wire transfer.
