RARE 1983 5-SPEED TRANSMISSION VW (Volkswagen ) HYTOP ADVENTUREWAGEN W/ AWNING It sleeps four, fits in the driveway and will go anywhere and it is a GREAT INVESTMENT..... CONSTANTLY INCREASING IN VALUE! I have been told they were made for a few years and not many were sold and very few had 5-speed transmissions. This HYTOP model provides great comfort and room to stand up any time. It has over-the-cab storage above the front seats, some by the rear window and more by the rear hatch-door. The upper slide out full-size bed in the back is over the back seat. The passenger rear seat is a pull-out bench seat that conveniently and easily makes into an additional full size-bed. It also has a small side closet. The cooking setup has a two-burner propane stove, fridge and stainless steel sink. Additionally, it has a drawer plus a small pantry and shelf over the sink. There are three hide-away tables - one by the sink and the other one is next to the stove. The larger one is by the back seat. There are no cracks in the windshield or in any of the windows. The tires are still have pretty good tread. It has privacy curtains, but through the years have been worn a bit by the sun and could use new ones and they are very easy to make. The upholstery and carpet are also in pretty good shape. It also has a "poty" cover which matches the upholstery. The awning has the original polls and it is in good shape. As you can see, VW is is brown and tan and the body is very good, but some of the original paint is faded and there are some rust spots which were there when we purchased it. It has 150,178 miles and the title is clear and Vin number is VW2YB0253DH093420. All and all, it is very comfortable and fun to drive and camp in.
