This 1968 Chevelle 396 SS Convertible is a powerhouse! The car maintains its original drivetrain. It was converted to electronic ignition, and it has a newer alternator with built in regulator. I acquired the car from its original owner who bought the car new and took care of it. The car runs and drives great. The motor was rebuilt in the last 5 years, and it performs as such. The body is also in good shape, with rust/rot by the lower front fenders. The trunk is solid and the floors are solid with no patchwork in either place. The car was repainted during the previous ownership and it could use a new paintjob. However, the car is presentable as is. The interior also is in very good condition, with no tears on the seats, no dash cracks, and no other visible flaws. The center console is in great shape and the shifter functions very well. The convertible top was replaced, and it goes up and down with ease, and seals the car as it should. The front end and suspension are stock, with certain componants being replaced as needed over time. There are no deficiencies with the front or rear suspension. This car is not a trailer queen and is not a 10/10. It is fun and great driver, that someone could put a ittle effort into and have a phenominal car. There aren't many of these around anymore in the shape this is in. It is priced to sell.
