Land Rover Defender 90 Vin SALLDVAC7AA218180 / date of first reg 18/10/1984 Photos show this Landy as it came out of our workshop today we will be fitting side steps and a spare wheel cover . Last 3 photos show other recent vehicles imported and now living happily in the US . Chassis / Frame in fantastic condition new rear cross member and outriggers fitted full waxoyl treatment. 2.5Lt Diesel engine fully inspected and serviced , runs clean and quiet . LT77 Gear box 5 speed manual also transfer box with diff lock fully serviced , works as it should . Axles inspected and serviced . Bulkhead / Floor plates all solid and original . Bodywork very straight and true , see photos . Full repaint inside and out in nightfire red ( metallic ) Land Rover color. Just to freshen up the look . Brand New Exmoor (techno) trim seating x7 fitted ,Seat belts fitted in rear , new carpets in cab . Brand new doors x3 , New door locks , New door rubber seals . Electrics have all been inspected , all working and correct . Full length headlining . New brakes all round . New steering and suspension bushes / seals / joints , Power steering No leaks or problems . Alloy wheels with New A/T tires all round , Swing away spare wheel carrier . New battery / starter / alternator / clutch / exhaust system . Chrome front bumper . Original chassis Vin numbers all matching and clearly visible . Registration documents present and in our name . To answer some questions we get asked . Q/ Can you supply your vehicles in Left hand drive ? A/ All classic vehicles imported to the US have to be at least 25 years old and to factory specifications , LHD vehicles of that age are very rare , they are available but the price is a lot higher than RHD , The US customs do not allow LHD conversions to pass inspection because they are not original . Q/ How much is Transport and shipping ? A/ Transport and shipping to an available east coast port of your choice by Ro Ro ferry is included in our price , Other destinations available world wide but could cost more please inquire for price . Once vehicle arrives at port of destination all port and customs fees are payable by purchaser .The fees can vary depending on port but a client very recently paid / customs clearance fee of $445 and import fees of $350 these were the costs at Baltimore . We use a very good shipping company that can assist you with customs clearance and any onward process . Q/ Is this vehicle legal to import to the US ? A/ Yes all vehicles we offer for sale to the US are legally importable and they conform to all the rules and regulations , They are all in original factory specifications all ID numbers are correct and clearly visible for inspection . Q/ Can i upgrade this vehicle with extras prior to shipping ? A/ Yes to a certain extent as long as it does not affect the original structural or mechanical condition of the vehicle , For example winch bumpers and winches also snorkels can be fitted without issue . Q/ Is this vehicle in a good ready to use condition ? A/ Yes all vehicles we supply arrive in a good ready to use ready to drive condition , All our vehicles have had what we call a light restoration structurally / mechanically and cosmetically . Q/ How long does it take to get the truck . A/ This vehicle is ready now to go , Once payment is received we will issue receipt and book the truck on the first available ship , Boats leave weekly and depending on destination can take from 9 days to arrive at the port of choice . We put you in touch with our shipping company so you can track your vehicle , We send by recorded post all registration docs to your address .
