1999 Jeep Cherokee 2wd 2 door with a automatic overdrive transmission. The engine runs great and is very strong, the transmission shifts as it should. There is a mild waa waa waa sound that comes from the rear axle sometimes, it has done this as long as we have owned it and it hasn't gotten louder and it doesn't always do it, maybe a brake shoe slightly dragging? The paint and body are fair with dings and a minor dent on the front fender(see picture) but it is rust free. The windshield has a crack in it and should be replaced. It needs a sending unit for the oil pressure gauge. It has a slight shimmy at around 50 mph that goes away when going faster and slower than 50. The A/C blows cold but after driving about an hour the compressor clutch starts disengaging, this can be replaced for under $100Having said all that the Jeep has a good look and gets compliments. This was my wife's daily driver for the last 2 years, she got a car for Christmas or she would still be driving it, she really loved the Jeep. This would be a great candidate for a restore or just drive as is. The tires and wheels are off a 2014 Jeep JK. When we bought it I installed new nitrogen shocks, front springs, front hubs, rotors and pads, rear drums and shoes and a adjustable track bar. We recently drove it to Gainesville Fl 750 miles round trip and it did great. Edit to add: The airbag light comes on sometimes and the horn works sometimes. These are both related to a part called a clockspring that goes behind the steering wheel $50 used or $120 new on ebay.
