I BOUGHT THIS LOW MILEAGE VAN A FEW DAYS AGO AT A CAR AUCTION I ATTEND WEEKLY. I COULD NOT RESIST BUYING IT BECAUSE IT'S HARD TO SEE THESE OLDER WINDSTARS WITH LOW MILES AND BESIDES THIS WINDSTAR IS EQUIPPED WITH A WHEEL CHAIR RAMP. THIS WINDSTAR WAS CUSTOMIZED TO BE WHEEL CHAIR ACCESSIBLE WHICH IS A VERY EXPENSIVE MODIFICATION. THE FLOORS WERE LOWERED, A ELECTRIC SLIDING DOOR WAS INSTALLED, A RAMP WAS INSTALLED, A TRANSFER SEAT WAS INSTALLED ON THE FRONT RIGHT. THEIRS 3 TRIGGER SWITCHES THROUGHOUT THE VAN TO OPEN THE SLIDING DOOR( 1 AT THE DASH BOARD, 1 NEXT TO THE RIGHT REAR TAIL LIGHT & 1 INSIDE THE VAN BY THE REAR BENCH.This Handicap conversion includes:Auto Door: Opens the sliding door at the touch of a button. This feature can be activated with one of the interior control switches.Ramp: The lightweight aluminum ramp extends to allow easy access to the interior for wheelchairs and scooters. In the event of power failure, both the door and ramp can easily be operated manually. Lowered Floor: From the toe pan to the rear axle the floor is lower than conventional minivans. With a choice of seating positions, wheelchair users can choose to ride in their chair and enjoy the view. Removable Seating: For those who want to ride up front or even drive from their wheelchair, the van makes it easy: simply unlock the seat bases and roll the entire seat out of the vehicle.
