1958 BMW Isetta 300I purchased this Isetta in 1990 and at the time was aware the engine was not original to the car. Five years ago, I started restoring the car and completely disassembled it. I had the body media blasted so that it was & is still free of rust, except for a few small holes on the original battery box. Upon completion of painting the body (with the original color birch green), I started working on the frame restoration; I then discovered that the chassis number located on the passenger side is not stamped on the frame. Since I already invested time and money in the restoration and purchase of replacement parts, I decided to continue the restoration project with the knowledge that the non-matching numbers may impact the value of the car. After much time and energy spent on the restoration. I recently completed restoring the Isetta and it is now for sale. The car is mechanically sound, everything in working condition and ready to drive.Work done: Brakes rebuilt Engine with rebuilt head & carburetor and new pistons rings.
