1997 Jeep Wrangler sport ***project***The Jeep was driven nose down in a water hole which blew the engine. The engine was replaced with one from a 2000 Cherokee. The underhood and behind the dash wiring harnesses were replaced. I started a AW4 overdrive automatic upgrade by buying the transmission, buying a jig and clocking the transfer case, installed pedals for an automatic and a factory shifter. I am including a new Novak shift cable for the transfer case.The transmission and transfer case are not installed. Parts wise the Jeep is 95% complete but there will be some small items needed such as an alternator/A/C bracket(the previous owner kept the cherokee one which will not work) A replacement cluster was purchased but it is Kph instead of Mph. No stereo although the speakers are there including a sound bar. One O2 sensor is missing, 2 rear sway bar bolts and it will need headlights. I would guess less than $250 to complete. There is minor body damage to the grill and the fronts of the fenders. I ordered matching base paint and clear in rattle cans to repair. The rear tires are in great shape, the fronts have worn more on the inside from it being out of alignment. The dash, console, seats all engine acc. and wiring for the AW4 swap will need to be done. If you can spend a little time assembling this you will have a nice 6 cyl. auto A/C Jeep at a great price. I am friends with the previous owner and I am familiar with the Jeep and the water incident. I know where the engine and transmission came from. I bought it to build for myself but I ended up with a Sahara, 6 cyl auto and hardtop Jeep instead so I am selling this one. As is project Jeep. The exact mileage is unkown but it should have around 170K
