Vehicle Detail

Central Valley Classics Classic Restorations & Cars For Sale Fresno, California Helping people buy their dreams for over 20 years We are proud to offer this special vehicle for auction! GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING! 1978 Chevrolet C10 2WD Long Bed Original 350 w/ 4 bbl Carburetor Automatic Overdrive Transmission Original Paint Power Steering Power Front Disc Brakes Tilt Column A/M Radio Alloy Wheels + More This truck is one of the few remaining survivors. It has been kept up mechanically, has had the seat recovered on the inside but everything else is original. My friend owns it and he is a CA dealer but the truck won't pass CA Smog because the EVAP system (fuel tanks) lines have a leak and he doesn't want to spend any more money on the truck. The Truck can't be sold in CA, he has a clean dealer title but not for CA resale. If your outside CA and it matters to make it compliant, it will require replacing all the vacuum lines for the fuel tanks and charcoal canister but it runs great so why bother. Read the description below and you'll understand he has more in it than he will get and I'm helping him for a favor owed. This body is extremely clean, I took a few underneath pictures to show just how nice it is and can take more if you want. These original trucks with no rust are getting scarce, lots of restored stuff out there but what were they like underneath before being restored? I tried to show how clean the body was in the pictures, it has no evidence of accidents and all the panels align as good or better than what I usually see. You have to slam the doors hard because it's still air tight. It has a few minor dents you see in the pictures but nothing significant, The hood has been folded from bad hinges, I lubed everything but will install reinforcement braces this week so it'll work fine after. You will see the period typical surface rust in the bed but not rot. The tailgate works perfectly but there is a little tweak in the rear bumper that is only cosmetic. The glass looks really nice, a tiny bit of delaminating at the very bottom were the antenna is but won't be a problem for 20 years. The interior is very clean looking, they reupholstered the seat and someone added new carpeting (replaced the vinyl) otherwise it's original. The door panels look good and have the pockets still in place. The headliner is all there but it does need to be glued back into place, it sags a bit. The original gauges and speedometer are present and everything works as expected. The original A/M radio is present, I checked it and it works. I would say about half of the lights in the dash work, I checked it tonight before I finished the listing. The engine is a simple, just a good running 120K mile original. It starts easy and runs smooth, the truck drives down the road like it did 30 years ago. The carburetor has every vacuum line in place so there isn't any issues. The alternator, water pump, radiator and cooling system were flushed recently. The A/C blows ice cold. The brakes were done about 500 miles ago and the tires are about 3 years old and about the same miles. This is a really cool truck, it just needs a caring owner. Seriously, you don't find them like this very often anymore. Almost 40 years and no rust! Drive it as is for many years without anything but maintenance if you want, it's that kind of truck. I think I covered most but contact me if you have any questions. The Buy-It-Now is in the fair range based on the condition, I've looked at classics for over 35 years and have priced it at what's fair. You can make an offer but don't get carried away.
