For sale is a 1940 Plymouth Business Coupe. I have had it since around 1980. It was a daily driver in the early 1980's. However, it hasn't been started or moved since probably 1985. It has a 6 cyl flathead and a three speed on the column transmission. The car is completely original to my knowledge. In the early 1980's, the tires were new, the brakes rebuilt, and the engine ran fine. The engine is NOT seized up - in fact it turns with the fan as one would expect it to. The fuel and ignition systems are disconnected. the body has rusted rocker panels and the floorboard. there is also other rust in the usual places. The car has been in the garage since the early 1980's - the rust was there at that time. The interior places have been removed and the seat is not upholstered. To my knowledge most pieces of the vehicle are there. the hood ornament, some of the grill chrome and the tail lights (for example) are missing at this time. They may be in the attic somewhere - no promises but I will search for them in the event of a winning bid. Finally, I also have for inclusion some spare parts for a 1940 Dodge: a transmission, differential, rear leaf springs, front coils and from A frames. Happy to answer any questions or provide any clarification. Should make either a nice original restorer; a street rod, or a parts car. I have no recall what the mileage is.
