PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO STUDY THEM ALL BEFORE BIDDING. Rare (3 owner) 1975 Triumph "Trident" with matching serial numbers. This ELECTRIC START, 5 - SPEED, LEFT HAND SHIFT, 750cc triple cylinder "T160" is in amazing condition and has only 3,168 original miles. It is probably one of the finest original unrestored examples left in existence. The beautiful original candy apple "Cherokee Red" and "Ice White" lacquer paint still shines and the bike starts, runs, and rides great with no issues. This bike was bought new by a US serviceman while in the UK. It is a UK model bike and was shipped home to New Orleans, Louisiana. It was never ridden much and then sat in storage for years before a collector from Michigan bought it. It then received a full maintenance, TRI-SPARK electronic ignition (major improvement), and new (very expensive) correct mufflers from "Viking Exhaust" in New Zealand. It also was treated to new stainless steel brake lines, and a new LF Harris master cylinder for improved braking. New correct Dunlop "K81" tires were also installed. This bike is virtually untouched except for the items mentioned above and these items were only replaced to bring the bike back to top riding condition again. The chrome, paint on the frame, and seat are all still in excellent original condition. All of the original decals are still in place on the frame and rear fender. The gas tank has no dents and is clean inside (never coated). The gauges are perfect and work as they should. Every nut and bolt is how it left the factory in 1975. Original Dunlop rims, original spokes, original hardware, original phillips head case screws, original wiring, etc. It is extremely hard to find a bike that is this unmolested. The only thing missing is the right side cover "Trident" emblem insert. These were glued on from the factory and usually fell off over time. Correct replacements are available. Only around 7,000 T160's were produced and 1975 was the last full year for the "Trident". It was also the only year to have the 5 - speed transmission (with left hand shifting) and electric start, making them the most desirable. The bike has a brand new battery and comes with a clear Michigan title. It is ready to ride right now or be put on display in your personal museum. I also know of an excellent motorcycle shipper that is very reasonable. Email me for his phone number or any questions you may have.
