Selling a very clean 944s (16V). The 1987 944S had more HP than the regular normally aspirated 944s with 190HP. You feel the difference in power about 3.5-4k rpms and especially on the highway. Get the extra HP without the complexities of the turbos which aren't particularly ideal for every day street driving and require more maintenance. Car runs extremely well. Shifts very smooth and overall quite easy to drive. I just bought the car this year from the original owner as a daily driver to be able to use my 964 on weekends only; however, back problems are worsening and need PDK as daily. EDIT: I know the carfax says 3 owners with the last owner being myself obviously. When I got the car the carfax said two but the prior owner said he had the car since new. I assumed the carfax was incorrect, but possibly the car was in the same family. Given the condition of the car in general especially given such a clean interior I didn't doubt the owner's integrity. Mechanic got this in great running shape. I would add the shocks and also a set of rennline pedals, but that last part is a preference. I have those pedals on my other car, and love them.Whole car gone thru by top northeast mechanic(see plate frame) since they thought this would be my daily, and was planning on going on long trips on east coast. Better to buy a car that has been vetted and brought up to speed, then to pay less up front and then have to spend thousands to make it ready for daily driving. Prices of 944s have been rising, and the 944S versions have more HP than the base models of the normally aspirated cars, and less mechanical complexities of the 944 turbos. Perfect for daily driving! Paint is nice, but back quarter panel and roof are lighter and we had car detailed and waxed and looks very good. Spoiler has slight damage in at very bottom of driver side. I still have stock wheel and will add with car in sale. When taking pics of the undercarriage for prospective buyer I realized some damage to tailpipe. The prior owner made no mention of this, and it slipped my own visual inspection when I received the car. I would replace the muffler, I have reduced the price by $300 accordingly. Again, I have many pics and video..please message me so that I may text them. Passenger side mirror was knocked into and dislodged spring.
