1997 Ford Mustang Saleen Speedster Convertable #16B All original with the exception of previously added s-351 / SR factory Saleen rear deck wing. This is a private collector owned vehicle that is registered , insured and used often as weather allows . Evrything works , cold a/c , cruise control remote key fob factory , ect . Automatic transmission proffesionaly rebuilt by former FORD tech with warranty . This is truly a jump in and drive machine . The Borla Machine Gun exhaust tips are original , and nearly impossble to find in any condition - similar to early 70's Dodge/plymouth exhaust tips on Cudas and Chargers This car has been a west coast dry car most of the time since new , originally rented out by Budget Rent a Car of Beverly Hills CA. There is no rust at all. Starts up everytime one turn of the key ,super smooth idle , no hesitations,and has a pleasant rumble to the exhaust, not too oud just right . The top fits nearly perfecrly and works flawlessly . I think its too nice to be original however the quality of tops were much better in 97 then in the previous fox body convertables . Power top looks, fits and operates like it should . Absolutely no interior water leaks at all . I was caught in a heavy down pour about 2 weeks ago. No strange oders or smells. The 90's Saleens are really flying under the collector car radar . Rare V-8 Ford Mustangs that are clean and unmolested are difficult to find in the sub $10k range.
