Vehicle Detail

1982 Porsche 924 Turbo. Ran until starter died. As is. Driven around the block a couple times and it seems to run and drive well. It does make boost. There are a couple small quarter sized spots of surface rust but no rot. Floors are in great condition. Paint is rough. A couple small dings. Not perfect but a good solid chassis that runs and drives. Interior is in very poor shape (see pictures). Power windows both work. Its a restorable car, or you could fix it up just enough to have a nice driver. Will include new Voltage guage 'Naysayers who sneer at the VW/Audi origin of the 924's engine were silenced when the 924 Turbo rolled out. This upgraded engine was built in Porsche's Zuffenhausen plant, and then shipped to Neckarsulm for installation. While the cast-iron block was unaltered, Turbos received a new aluminum-silicon alloy head with dished combustion chambers, larger exhaust valves and relocated spark plugs. Fuel was fed by Bosch K-Jetronic, and an external oil cooler kept temperatures down, with the help of the added engine compartment ventilation coming from the 924 Turbo's unique nose vents and the hood's evocative NACA duct. The slats, vents and duct signified most of what set the Turbo apart visually from lesser 924s; the fitment of a rear window with a molded-in polyurethane rear spoiler reduced the drag coefficient from .36 to .33. Special "turbo" badging on the hatch and door sills gave this car true Eighties flair. And if you've driven an early 1980s Audi Coupe GT or Volkswagen Scirocco, you know the lightweight, vibrant feeling that this four-cylinder Porsche exhibit' Waiting on title to cycle thru NC....may be slight delay in getting you the title. I do have registration on it. I do not forsee any issues but if so bill of sale
