Vehicle Detail
2004 Ford Crown Victoria LX I'm selling my 2004 Ford Crown Victoria LX. It is a low-mileage car with 78,286 miles on the odometer. I purchased the car in 2013 from a Mercedes-Benz dealer in Kansas City - the couple that owned it prior to me always wanted a Mercedes. At the time that I purchased it, it had only 32,000 miles - nearly all of the miles I have driven it have been on the highway traveling from Kansas City to the Wichita-area. I have kept the car in like-new condition, changed the oil every 3,000-5,000 miles and just completed a trouble free trip to Pennsylvania and back. It does have factory dual-exhausts, the digital dash display, automatic climate control, 6-disc trunk mounted CD changed - as well as the AM/FM CD Cassette in the dash. It has rear air-ride suspension, power windows, locks, mirrors, dual power seats, power adjustable pedals. I have added an MP3 port on the dash - this was not available when the car was new. I also added the chrome trim between both side windows. The car is in excellent condition and very well taken care of. Last month I spent $1800 having all new shocks installed (including new rear air-shocks), and all the fluids were flushed and changed including radiator, brake fluid, rear differential, transmission fluid and oil -- all of this was performed at the local Ford dealership. The battery was replaced about 6 months ago. The tires were replaced approximately 18 months ago and have about 20,000 miles on them. I regularly condition the leather and keep it clean. There are no rips or tears - just minor creases on the drivers side. The carpet is clean and free of stains. The car has never been smoked in and the rear seat hardly even used. For a 12 year old car - this is in excellent condition and has been very well taken care of. The car is not perfect. It has a couple of scratches on the front bumper. There are some dings and marks on the passenger-side doors that were there when I purchased it and have been touched up. There is a scratch on the trunk lid - also there when I purchased it. There are a couple of marks on the rear bumper from on-street parking. Recently, the climate control head has started only sending air through the defrost and floor vents - this is a common problem on the Crown Vic, Mercury Grand Marquis & Lincoln Town Cars and is repairable. Also, last year the turn signal stopped returning on it's own after making a turn. Finding non-Police Interceptor Crown Victoria's is getting harder and harder, particularly ones in this condition and less than 100,000 miles. I do reserve the right to list the car locally and will end the auction early if the car sells before the auction ends. I will notify the highest bidder first. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks in advance
