Vehicle Detail
Okay folks, up for sale is our family 2007 Honda Pilot EX. This SUV has been reliable since the day we purchased it. It was bought by us back in 2011 as we had 3 teenagers in the high school marching band program (tuba, trumpet & flute) and needed the room for transporting the band kids and their equipment. We have been very regular about getting oil changes and other maintenance performed. Living in South Florida, I can tell you that the AC system is ice cold! The truck does have the 3rd row seats as well as rear AC (also ICE COLD). Now there are a few issues with the truck at this time with most of them being cosmetic in nature. The cloth headliner inside the truck is hanging down in spots. My wife used fabric tacks to secure it but it still hangs down in spots (see photos). The truck was in a relatively minor accident on July 4, 2016. My daughter was driving and someone hit into the back of the Pilot and pushed it into the back of the car in front. The adjuster that worked the claim stated that the damage was all cosmetic in nature as the back end bumper and rear, right quarter panel took the brunt of the impact (see photos). There is also some damage on the front bumper from being pushed into the car in front (see photos). He stated that besides possibly a crack in the exhaust pipe (sounds a bit loud) that the damage was 'confined to behind the rear wheels' and that the rear bumper collapsed as it should have in such an impact. The same was stated about the front bumper. The trailer hitch was bent a bit off-center as well since the hitch was hit as well. We do have the full report detailing the damage and repair estimates (about $3.200). Since the accident, the car has run absolutely as normal EXCEPT that when I made a fast, left-hand U-turn in the truck, the vehicle stability control lights came on on the dashboard and the truck hesitated a bit. As weird as this will sound, I have only had this happen a few times since the accident and only when accelerating into a hard left hand turn or U-turn. I simply shut the car down, turned it back on and it ran perfectly. Turning off the car and then turning it back on resolves the issue. Again, this has only happened a few times but it is a change that I noticed. From time to time, some of the speakers will individually cut out. I assume that it is a loose wire or something similar. The truck has some scratches, scrapes and dings on the body that are commensurate with the age and mileage of the vehicle. My wife has assured me that I have probably provided far too much detail in my description, but we are regular sellers on eBay, we own a local business that is A+ Rated by the Better Business Bureau and we are also Angie's List Members so I believe in providing a very honest and thorough description of the vehicle. The transmission shifts flawlessly. The tires are in excellent condition (at least 70% tread life). This Pilot has been a trustworthy and reliable truck for our family. Now that our kids are out of high school (one in the US Navy and the other two starting college) we are ready to move on to a smaller vehicle. I am also listing this vehicle locally so if you want to make an offer for it, please message us through eBay. On Aug-12-16 at 05:08:06 PDT, seller added the following information:I am getting a lot of questions regarding the engine....since we have owned the vehicle it has not burned oil AND I have never had a single drop of oil under the car. It is very tight and has no leaks.
