Vehicle Detail
We've had this S-10 ZR2 4x4 for about 7 years now. We used it as our primary work truck for a number of years. The 4.3L vortec engine is super strong, runs beautiful, reliable, easy to fix and inexpensive to maintain. I have 2 other blazers from similar years with the same engine. We love this truck, but eventually we needed a crew cab and a long bed. A few years ago we got one and the year before that we replaced the transmission which eventually had a seal leak. The trans fluid doesn't seem to leak while driving, it is only once you stop. We drove it like this just carrying ATF around. This isn't practical long term and once we got the new truck, we just parked this one by the shop, intending to fix the seal and starting it once in a while but not really using it with any frequency. As a result the battery will likely need to be replaced, but it does hold a charge for a bit. You can drive this away should you want to. Tires are in good shape. It starts right up, runs smooth, trans shift fine. With a relaxed weekend of work, you'll have a sweet ride. It was a Texas and Florida truck prior to coming to Chicago. The rust level is low for a midwest vehicle and the typical rusted out panels are fine. There's various dings and dents many of which I feel could be popped out if you wanted. The inside is ok with no serious damage but it's a bit dirty just from being used. We'll clean it out a bit for you. We replaced a door panel on the driver door and the exterior driver door handle is a little loose for some reason. If you are looking at this, you know how much these trucks go for fully running. The seal isn't a very expensive fix especially if you do it yourself. The battery may hold up for you once it's driven daily. You may need an alignment as we didn't get one when we got the new tires for it. Although I'm trying to remember everything and be as accurate as I can, I reserve the right to have missed something here or there as well as something cropping up as a result of not driving it for some time. While these are great trucks, it is used. If you are in the area and want to drive it, feel free to come by. Always happy to do business in person locally. sold AS IS WHERE IS NO WARRANTY GIVEN OR ASSUMED
