This car has been my daily driver since May, 2010. I commute to work daily from Bethel, PA (19507) to Hershey, PA (17033) so most of the miles on this car are truly highway miles. The car has provided me with reliable & economical transportation for over 130,000 miles and I don't have any reason to suspect there are any major mechanical issues or problems. I average 33MPG. There is an AUX-IN connection inside the glove box and hookups remain for Sirius sattelite radio. All power features work on the car and the AC is cold. The spare tire is a full-size spare. Since owning the car I've replaced the following: front and rear brakes & rear rotors, purge valve, secondary coolant fan, battery, spark plugs, and serpentine belts. The current tires are Continental Pure Contacts and were installed in late December 2015 when the odometer read 175,953. These tires have a tread life of 70,000 miles. At the last safety inspection the tire depths were all 10/32 and the brake depths were as follows: Front - 14b/32, Rear - 11b/32. PA state inspection is good through December, 2016. There is a visible dent at the lower-rear of the driver's door. There is a small amount of rust forming at the driver-side rear wheel well and it should be sanded and primed/ re-painted. The bare steering wheel shows signs of wear and there are three blemishes on the passenger seat. The airbag warning light was recently on and was triggered by code: "01218 - Side Airbag Igniter; Passenger Side (N200) - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded - Intermittent - MIL ON" This issue, corroded electrical connections, was addressed by Volkswagen TSB 69 08 02 2011271 and the code will not effect airbag deployment or operation. The fix was applied and the code cleared. Outside of the above, the car has normal wear, chips and light scratches for a 10-yr old car with this mileage.
