Vehicle Detail

356 Porsche C ID #. 128125 Engine P * 731145 Transaxle: 74647 Color 6404. I have owned this car for over eleven years. I have been using it as example as I put my 356 SC (with wiring harness) back together; and for driving occasionally. It is a “driver quality” car that is fun to drive! The COA is provided in the photo section. This is a numbers matching car (engine & transaxle). The color has been changed at some point in the cars life. All indications are the car was restored and well cared for prior to my purchase, as evidenced by paint, chrome details, etc.. I do not have a detailed history beyond that provided to me during my purchase; which was minimal. The car had been in Oregon prior to its move to WA state, estimating that to be in early 2000. If you are aware of any of the cars history, thank you for contacting me! The car has seen no rain or wet, during my ownership and has been covered and in a heated garage, and exercised regularly. I have done all the regular maintenance; including oil, filters; valve adjusts, etc. At this writing, there is an un-diagnosed (slight) back-fire when decelerating with your foot off of the accelerator pedal. The car has a euro-speedometer (I have listed the mileage at 125,00; however actual mileage is unknown) . I installed 3-point retractable seat belts (into existing mounting points) for safety. The generator, starter and voltage regulator are relatively new. The distributor has been fitted with an electronic ignition (Sam Sipkins). I rebuilt the carburetors with Stoddard kits to include accelerator pumps. I think the interior is original (absent the mouse gray inserts from the COA). The interior is in good condition. I had the front seats “re-stuffed” shortly after my purchase in 2000 to restore the sitting height. The shop doing the work indicated the material I replaced was probably original. I elected to preserve the seat coverings rather than replace, and retained the carpets as well. The carpets have been recently cleaned and detailed, and are in excellent condition. Coca Mats have recently been added for look and feel; photo included; and a rear wool, fitted mat has been added to the rear jump seats (photo included). German square weave carpets are under the front mats, shifting tunnel, and on the backs of the jump seats I am including photos of the interior sheet metal in the floors. A period radio will convey with a purchase but I am uncertain of its condition as it has not had power to it during my ownership. It is my opinion the floors are original. They have been repaired over the years and appear to be in good condition. The wheel wells, floor and longitudinals were recently undercoated. All chrome trim is in excellent condition; obviously replaced or re-chromed in the past. The chrome wheels are “driver quality.” The paint does have minor defects. Those defects appear to be under control, and easily rectified without major effort or expense. When pricing the car I am considering what repairs a focused enthusiast might need to perform to realize the cars potential market value; without loosing money. Having listed this car for sale previously, I want to thank you in advance for not only being interested but being in the market for a purchase. In that regard, I appreciate a buyer who can educate me; and provide thoughtful and convincing rationale for the sale price.
