Vehicle Detail
1972 BUICK LESABRE CONVERTIBLE WITH FACTORY 455CID MOTOR/TH400 TRANSMISSION. CAR IS A PRESTO-MOD VEHICLE. Presto-mod means I've been preserving/restoring/modifying this vehicle. Its a daily driver and far from perfect. However its in good condition with normal wear and tear. The body is in fair/good condition with the usual scratches/dings that a 45 year old Midwest car would have. There was some previous body work behind the rear wheels that is starting to fail, so some bubbling of paint. Floorboard solid with some patchwork as well as some patch work in the trunk. While patch work is not professional repair, the patchwork is structually sound, sealed, and out of view. * Convertible top works and is intact.* 455 has Edelbrock carb on an edelbrock manifold.*LetricLimited points conversion kit to create electronic distributor.* Dual exhaust pipes, no Y assembly....pipes go from exhaust manifold back with "cherry bomb" mufflers.* Front end gone through with all new ball joints, control arm bushings, shocks all the way around(adjustable air shocks in back).*Car alarm with instructions and two remotes* Manual windows and door locks. Front windows roll up and down smoothly, rear 1/4 windows need to be taken apart, cleaned, and guides tightened for smooth operation. Windows also have some minor scratching from poorly adjusted guides in doors.(pictures available upon request) * Tires with over 75% or more tread on them.* Racing rims with chrome spinners* Brand new bucket seats with recline forward, backward and fwd/bkwrd slide.* Many other items repaired or replaced such as timing cover, radiator, water pump, front brake pads/rotors, rear brake shoes(drums resurfaced). * Car was originally colored tan/light brown but previous owner repainted to the Buick red(?) of that year.* Car came factory with air conditioning, but previous owner removed compressor, condensor, hoses. All electrical harness and connectors appear to be there.*Factory bench seat is available if its wanted(down in my basement). Its in fairly good condition with a dime size hole on driver butt area.* You will get factory Fisher body repair manual as well as the GM 1972 Buick service manual for this car(precious treasure for any car buff!)*misc parts, gaskets, and other items will go with the car. Some of it is spare parts, others is body gaskets I didnt get chance to install. I'm sure I'm missing some things, so please ask questions or send requests for more photos. Car is dependable daily driver. I've taken it across country numerous times with zero issues. Gas it, oil it, and go. >>>>car is sold AS IS, NO WARRANTY and of course no return.<<<<< ***I am a fair individual looking to let go of a car for items around the house, not to seek heavy profit from another. The reserve price is by no means a low ball price. BUT...its a price that I think is fair and honest so that any person can have opportunity to own a piece of history with some "patina" to it. So dont be hesistant when you see reserve. You may be suprised that your bid is the reserve price.
