Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1967 Pontiac GTO that has been in my family for 40yrs,it was purchased by my father &I on to me 3yrs ago. It needs a full restoration as you can see,for someone that's familiar with the restoration process this is probably quite simple. When I first received the GTO I knew I needed help with the project so I got in contact with a childhood friend that's considered to be a master mechanic,I also saw first hand how good he was when he restored his 1967 Chevelle into a must have muscle car,the transformation was unbelievable,so quite naturally he was the first person that came to mind. We installed temporary floors in the GTO to keep unwanted guess out. That was the first weekend of work and we decided to meet again on Sunday but my friend never showed then I received a call from his son which was strange and he proceeded to tell me that his father had passed away. Since then I've done minor things but it's just too big of a project for me alone & the garage I'm renting I can no longer afford,I have a daughter in her last year of law school & another on the way to a freshman year of college and I can no longer divert money from our family finances to hold on to it all. A little history on the motor and transmission,my father had the 428 engine remove and sent to a hot rod shop, the results a 428 engine that was bored 30 over, aggressive cam, roller rockers & the engine linked up to a 400 turbo transmission. The engine builder explained to my father that the engine would have a mean streak and he was right, my fathers first test run resulted in a drivers side motor mount that was broken in half
