We have owned this car for 20 years. Besides driving it locally, we have driven it from Michigan to the East Coast, to Canada and to Minnesota several times. It is very comfortable for two and gets 23+ miles per gallon. It is the original color of Anthracite Gray. The Benz has a new black convertible top and comes also with a nice black hard top, which is in very good condition. The interior is black leather. Carpeting is in great condition. The original exhaust has been replaced with a complete stainless steel system. The tires are good with later model Mercedes wheels. The car is a usable vehicle and not a museum piece. It has 175,000 miles on it, and does not burn oil between changes. It has a Michigan salvage title, which it had when I bought it. (The State of Michigan does not allow a clear title to be issued after it has been declared salvage, as other states do allow). Prior to when I bought it, it was involved in a frontal collision in which the right front fender, hood and grill were damaged. There was no frame damage. EBay wanted the original VIN# in the listing, however, the title has a different number. The State of Michigan assigned their number to the salvage title after the road worthiness inspection. The air conditioner worked when I purchased it. It does not work now – either the Freon leaked out or the compressor stopped working. I did not repair it since we always use it as a convertible. The climate control module cracked, so I bought a new complete improved unit to replace it, but I have not yet installed it. It comes with complete installation instructions. I did, however, install the water valve portion and it can manually be turned on or off for heat. The car is fun to drive and always starts and runs. It is a classy looking vehicle. The reserve price is low. Pick up is available in Michigan. Shipping is available at the buyer’s expense. It was noted in the description that the cruise control did not work over 60 mph, but on a test run yesterday (July 1st) we noticed that the cruise control now does not work at all.
