1985 Ford F-150 XL 2wd, 8 ft bed. We are original owner, bought in fall of 84, 91,742 miles, truck has been used only occasionally for the last 10 years, stopped driving on highway 3 years ago, using only on property to haul wood, mulch, brush, ect. Truck is overall in good shape but does have a few issues. Rear metal brake line rusted through, front brakes only, so you will have to tow or trailer it home. Thieves made off with original tailgate, it has an aftermarket replacement gate that is falling apart. There is one rust bubble just beginning on lower left fender and some minimal rust just starting on drivers floor rear at cab corner. Frame has surface rust that would is typical for a 30 year old truck but it is sound. Inside of cargo bed has surface rust only at front panel / floor area but other than that, it is remarkably rust free. Truck does have some minor dents and scuffs and a cracked tail lamp from yard work. Minor damage to rear lower bed corner from bumper contact. About 12 years ago truck was media blasted and professionally refinished. Paint is in good shape. Timing chain/gear replaced at around 60,000, A/C was converted to R-134, although it is in need of recharging. Fuel gauge occasionally works. Just prior to taking off the road, rear main seal was replaced and transmission was serviced and engine tuned up, Recent brakes and radius arm bushings. Front seat rebuilt/recovered. 351 W HO 4 bbl , has Holly 600 replacement carb, C-6 3 spd automatic transmission. Includes bed mat.
