This has been a pampered car. Hardly driven. Over the past two years, I have put in several thousands of dollars to get it completely road worthy and mechanically sound. All work done by Mercedes specialist. A partial listing of work includes: brake pads/rotors, shocks, tie rods, steering links, upper/lower control arms, shocks, engine flush, new glow plugs, oil/filter changes. Also ready for summer with full A/C service - blows very cold! New radio power antenna. Body is in good condition with just some minor rust areas in common places (front passenger wheel well, rear wheel well. I did some rust/body work myself for cosmetic cleanup - but not professional/restoration quality. Interior is very clean. All power windows work. MANUAL SUNROOF! works great - no leaks. THE BAD: power locks (vacuum operated) do not work - must lock/unlock manually (likely an actuator that needs replacement, which is an easy/cheap fix - but just not something I've prioritized). Cruise control doesn't work - have never diagnosed because it also is not high on my priority list. Odometer stopped turning late last year - hardly driven since - looked into sending odometer for refurbishing, but haven't gotten around to it. Finally, the rear auto stabilizing suspension mechanism needs a flushing/service, doesn't seem to be working. Does not seem to impact the ride or comfort of the vehicle. OVERALL: this is a wagon that is well above average in condition. Engine starts up quickly and runs smooth every time. No blow back in motor, indicates healthy motor with lots of life. Accelerates smoothly - no jerky auto transmission shifting as is common. Does not blow a lot of smoke - all filters (air/fuel) are regularly changed. This will be in use for decades to come.
