Vehicle Detail
Audi imported only 132 A8L W12s in 2005 and this is one of them. This car has been my daily driver (highway miles) for four years. I had a wheel sensor go out, which disabled ABS and I rear-ended another car. The two front fenders and drivers headlight are NOT damaged. The damaged parts from the accident that will need replaced are:HoodFront bumper cover with chrome trimFront center grillePassenger headlightPassenger lower grilleRadiatorThe airbags DID NOT deploy, Front of my car was low enough it missed the main bumper mount, which is why the grill/hood damage for such a minor accident. The radiator support is bent slightly, but should be useable. The condensor is good, but the radiator has plastic sides, so it needs replacing. The car does start and lot-drive, but has no antifreeze due to the radiator. The multi-disk DVD video player does not work either, but the rear displays do and have RCA jacks for an XBox, Playstation or video player. Flex-connectors for the exhaust now leak, so exhaust sound. Transmission fluid has been flushed 2 times (at 80k and 126k). Has Continental ContiPro tires on original rims. This was my 3rd Audi quattro and they are very dependable cars. I considered fixing it, but do not have the time and already replaced it with another car. Fix it or sell it for parts...but I hope it stays on the road, it is a silky smooth driver. On May-17-16 at 19:47:09 PDT, seller added the following information: Apologies for the wet photos. Car was always garaged, so paint is shiny, not faded, peeling or cracking. (well, except for the hood and bumper cover!)On May-17-16 at 19:52:26 PDT, seller added the following information: Added engine bay photos showing radiator support is in great shape, just slightly pushed back on passenger side. New brakes (rotors and pads) in 2014. MMI screen gears sometimes click on opening/closing and will need replacing soon (they are available on eBay). Bulbs and ballast for the Passenger headlight unit are still good, just the plastic case was damaged. On May-22-16 at 11:34:35 PDT, seller added the following information: There was a question if the air ride works. It does and has 4 adjustable settings. You can ride high like an SUV for deep snow down to low for highway cruising. If it doesn't sell, I will probably have it fixed and keep it.On May-22-16 at 17:00:52 PDT, seller added the following information: I am getting bombarded with questions... it was my daily driver, no engine codes prior to accident. Taken to Audi dealer for regular checkup. Look, it is a good car and I'm not asking for 8, 7, 6, or even 5k. Depending on deal you can get for parts, repair is $2-4k if you do it yourself. 90% cosmetic except for the radiator and exhaust leak. Not sure what more to add... Starting to think I should have just fixed it myself. Trade in is $13k, Retail is $19k.
