Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is my 1968 Ford Mustang. Before I go into too much detail about the condition of the car, you should know that I am the second owner. Truth be told, an elderly woman passed away and I purchased it from her son. The woman bought it new. Although the car sat in the garage, when I purchased it, it needed some work. I've invested quite a bit of time and money into this project, but I have since lost interest - it was once a father and son project and my son no longer lives with me. It would be nice if someone with a little time....not much money, will just take this over the finish line. Here is what I did (I know I will be leaving out a lot) -Rebuilt most of the front end - links, sway bar, springs, upper and lower arms, etc.Installed all new brakes (all drum)All new master cylinder and brake linesNew shocksNew starterNew fuel sending unitNew review mirror and door handlesReupholstered front and rear seatsNew dash, gauge cluster and trim piecesHad headliner replaced Replaced windshield and back glass removed and new gaskets installedThe entire car was stripped, sanded, primed and painted the original color. New exhaustYou should also know, that the woman who originally owned the car, returned it immediately and had the dealer install power steering. I had removed the power steering, but still have the unit in tact and is included in this sale. Here is what I think has to be replaced and/completed (of course according to how much you want to do) - New carpetFinish installation of interior - I have the partsRadio of your choice. I intended on installing a radio, but everyone has different tastes. I suggest you install whatever you prefer.Front bumper is showing a bit of surface rustChrome trim to be polished. I have it all, but didn't put it all back, because I intended to polish it. Never got to it.You can see by one of the photos that I still have to install the passenger seatOne problem that may annoy you if you intend to keep the car outside is that the cowl leaks. This is a common problem and I didn't have it fixed with the other body work, because I don't keep or drive it in the rain and I certainly didn't expect to sell it.Again, this is my personal opinion and you may want to drive it around while you are working on it or you may want to spend a couple of weekends and get it just right. Driver's side headlight bucket has to be painted Ok, so that last bullet...I had to replace the driver's side headlight bucket due to a little "incident". It was not due to an accident while driving. You see, the car was parked in my cousin's driveway. One day, he was mowing his lawn and the back seat of his mower clipped the bucket and cracked it. Instead of trying to repair it, I just got ahold of another one. I have told you all I can think of at this time and if I remember anything else....good or bad, I will send an update. If you have any questions, please ask and I will answer as best as I can. Thank you for looking!
