NUMBERS MATCH THROUGHOUT Needs someone to finish the fine detailsOn May-11-16 at 08:39:06 PDT, seller added the following information: The car was purchased by my uncle in November 1968 and picked up when he got out of the service in 1969 from Baltimore. He sold it to a man going to college in Denver and was driven back and forth from Rangely Colorado to Denver Colorado for a few years, he fixed it up a little and repainted it metallic blue. My father bought it back in 1986 and has owned it since. It has Numbers matching original drive train. original paint code 78 and 78 azure turquoise. I have put a lot of new cosmetic parts throughout, New American Racing Rims with new tires V12 265 rear 245 front. The dash has two cracks and the speedometer needle tip is broken (still works) just over 94,000 original miles, will need the chrome/emblems re installed and the trunk will need touch up paint to finish(1 quart Son of a grey metallic comes with)The door passenger door panel could be replaced to look new it is a little faded/cracked. Comes with the original rims and parts. It drives amazing pretty fast and straight, the 350 motor is rebuilt with all standard bearings, no modifications or upgrades just original. The transmission started making noise 5/1/16 so I pulled it and took it to valley transmission, the parts to repair would be 300 to 500 to keep the numbers matching tranny or a new one out of Denver would be 1200 but the numbers matching case would be traded for a core. I just hit the point of being tired of working on it and I have turned my interest to a 1968 GTO. I believe this Malibu to be worth 25,000+ when finished and if it doesn’t sell soon I will repair the tranny, detail, get it appraised and relist it when done for the high price.
