Hi we offer for sale a very clean and original Land Rover series III Pickup. This is a true survivor from 1972. Registered historic vehicle it comes complete with heritage certificate . Chassis is all original and requires no welding what so ever. Has all been waxoyled in the past but since photos were taken we have given this a new full waxoyl treatment to help prevent any future rust problems. Bodywork again original not been restored but has been repainted at some point in it's history. Engine / gearbox and transfer box all in perfect working order. Engine is very strong runs nice and clean no smoke or rattles no leaks. Interior is perfect with no wear or damage showing on seats or controls, fitted with correct series III delux vinyl / leatherette seats , there is also a bench seat fitted in the rear body this again looks like new . Rear pickup body has a full canvas tilt fitted with windows either side and in the rear flap , again no damage all stitching good no repairs. No perished or worn bushes on the drive train or steering etc, These have all been replaced with correct new items, Has had new rear H/D leaf springs fitted recently also new battery . The mileage shows 16206 miles, we have checked with VOSA and no mileage discrepancy has been reported by them , Sadly this is the only records we have to go on as the service history has been lost in the mists of time,We have discovered this vehicle has covered less than 200 miles since 2012, so we have to assume the mileage could be correct or incorrect?? hence bargain price. Mileage will go up slightly until sold because i am driving this when i have the time. What i can tell you is , from my over 50 years as a Land Rover enthusiast It is extremely rare to find a series Landy with the original correct engine type that feels as fresh and lively as this one, it is an instant starter and feels crisp and fresh, it runs clean and pulls really well. It is a joy to drive and brings back many happy memories from my youth. Sadly i am not in a position to keep every Landy that comes our way as i would Happily add this to my private collection . It is clearly evident from the condition of this vehicle it has been loved and cherished by it's owners over the last 44 years, and i see no reason why this will not be around for another 44 years if maintained the way it has obviously been kept . This has just come in to us and we drove this 70 + miles with no issues or problems, ran at a steady 60mph from it's last home. Very rare to find a series III in this original unmolested condition. This has not been rebuilt or restored , but it has clearly been maintained over the years. Comes with new MOT we also have the V5 and Heritage certificate ,2 x sets of keys along with some old invoices and other assorted paperwork for the truck, we also have what looks like the original build spec sheet for the truck although this is a bit moth eaten and water stained damaged .
