NO RESERVE. 1960 Volkswagon Transporter, Single Cab Pickup. This truck was located here in north Texas in the hands of an older man that has owned it for the past 11 years. This truck has been and was registered for the road, state inspected and driven weekly up till last year. I have been stopping by the man's place for the past couple of years maybe once a month leaving my card on his front door asking about it and 2 weeks ago I finally got the car as he was ready to sell it. I was told that since last year the starter had gone out and had been sitting in his garage since. One of my guys is a VW engine rebuilder and he checked everything out and we replaced the starter and voltage regulator and she fired right up. We then replaced the fuel filter and a few odds and ends and she starts right up and drives great. We have not gone through the brakes or made any adjustments; at high speed she pulls to the right when braking. We have had a few transporter split windows and honestly, this is the best sounding and running one we have had. The body for a VW transporter is decent and the man who owned it before started to do the body work, starting from the rear and was going to put her back to her original blue color. I would love to build this one and make her a two tone safari window truck, but we just dont have the time this year.
