1985 was the last year Mercedes built the amazing W123 series station wagon . These cars already had a reputation for being super reliable and economical , when Mercedes introduced a turbo-charger in 1981 . Now they also had plenty of power and were much more fun to drive . This car was built in March of 1985 and sold in June of the same year . There are only 184k miles on it , which is considered low for this kind of car. You often see them here on Ebay with 400k-600k miles on them and still driving well . If you keep maintaining this car well , it can last you a lifetime . This is the car , Mercedes built their reputation on . This particular car was finished in "Light Ivory" MB-color code 623 with Palomino color interior and it was special ordered with leather seats . ( very rare !! ) This 300TD spent most of it's life in Arizona and Nevada and was mostly garaged . The body still wears mostly the original paint . The paint still has a great shine to it and looks like on a much newer car . There are no dents and just very minor scratches or rock chips from 31 years of careful use. The interior is also in very nice condition , as the many pictures will show . The seats are still firm , the carpets are clean and even the original wood is still in fantastic shape.Please look at the many extra pictures i posted . They can describe the car much better than i can . This 300TD wagon has always been maintained very well and whenever it needed anything , it was taken care of right away. This car has lots of power and it shifts smooth through all the gears. It is not slow at all . The air conditioning has been converted to the newer freon and it blows ice cold through all the vents . All the gauges are working the way they should . The original radio was replaced with a newer unit at some point and we also just had a new power antenna installed . All 4 tires were replaced last year . We also just had the car serviced with fluids and filters . At the same time new shocks were installed for the rear door to hold it up . All the power door locks and the power windows are working well .The air-cells for the self leveling suspension were also replaced last week . At this point i could not think of anything it needs . I am confident , you could just sit in and drive this car to the east coast without any problems . I would prefer to sell it to somebody local , who could actually come out and see it / test drive it .
