THANK YOU NO RESERVE!!!! 1997 Jeep Wrangler SE, 124,000 miles, hard top. I recently picked up a newer one and it's time to pass this one on to someone else. I have had this jeep for almost 4 years. I have replaced most of the suspension parts, brakes, etc. I put new tires on about 11,000 miles ago. They are 31x10.5R15 all terrains. I rotated them once already. I have a spreadsheet of all the maintenance I have done during my ownership. I recently installed a coil/spring kit from quadratec that gave the jeep a 2.5" lift. I also recently purchased new front hub assembly's ($300) that will be included with the jeep (box in the back). I had the steel rims that were on the jeep when I bought powder coated a semi-gloss black. About a year and a half ago the soft top started leaking so bought the current hard top second hand. It's in very good condition but the wiper and defrost aren't hooked up. I believe the guy I bought it from said it was off his '01 or '02. The jeep has factory AC but I have never tried to use it. I keep the doors off almost all summer. Just assume the AC doesn't work. The jeep only has a few minor issues (like most jeeps) to report. The factory cassette player is terrible. A previous owner removed this and installed an aftermarket radio. When I put the factory radio back in the wires were a mess. The radio plays about 3 stations and the clock only runs when the jeep is on. I'm guessing someone who knows jeep electric can have this fixed but I'm not that person. Another issue that may or may not be related to the radio issue is that the brake light fuse blows out from time to time. I keep an eye on it (checking the 3rd brake light at night) but it hasn't happened in a few months. I bought the spare tire new and it's never been used however it is mounted to a different rim that the four main ones. The small rust mark on the driver side fender has apparently been there for about 10-12 years (per pervious owner) but was sprayed with a rust inhibitor and it hasn't worsened. The hood paint is in rough shape with the clearcoat mostly gone and the paint starting to fade away. The frame has the usual rust but nothing serious. I took the jeep to a metal shop about a year ago for an inspection and they only found one area of concern so I had them beef it up. The jeep passed a PA inspection in September. I have included several pictures of the underside. I also encourage anyone seriously interested to come take a look if they want. I'm in Doylestown, PA. I have changed the oil and filter every 3k miles. I use Valvoline MaxLife High Mileage 10W-30 and a Purolator filter. If you want my maintenance spreadsheet just send me a message with your email address and I will forward it along. I recently replaced the fluid in the transfer case and both axels. Thanks for looking. Marc
