This is a three-owner 1974 BMW 2002tii in its original color, fjord blue. The rebuilt engine (1993) has 77,600 miles on it. All factory identification VIN engine and body numbers are original and match. It is the only year of the square tail lights model which came with fuel injection. This vehicle was in a garage in San Diego, California where the dry climate saved it from rust when I purchased it. I have all the service and repair records from the original owners. I also have all the receipts for service, parts and upgrades (over $35,000.00) that I have put into the car myself. The transmission is an upgraded 5 speed. The drive shaft and rear differential are also upgraded. The paint is very good and the car was repainted within the last year. The chrome and trim are in good condition. The grills are the correct style and are original to the car. This is a solid car with solid floors, and new rear sub-frame which has adjustment for canter. No rust beyond light surface rust on the underside of the hood The spare tire well and the rear wheel wells, and shock towers are solid and rust free. The interior is in good condition, including the tan German loop carpets, steering wheel and tan vinyl upholstery. There are a few small cracks in the dash. All gauges function and light up properly. The original door cards are good. The console-mounted radio is a period-correct Blaupunkt Frankfurt AM/FM model with dash-matched control knobs. It is attached to a period-correct original antenna mounted to the A-pillar. The radio lights up and plays AM and FM. Mechanically, the car has been serviced by BMW in the San Diego area, BMW Santa Fe and Rex Goes Racing in Santa Fe. The engine compartment is clean. There are no leaks or problems and the hoses around the engine and for the cooling have been replaced. The air conditioning works great. All electrical switches and lights function properly. The 2.0 liter engine has excellent acceleration and power. The issues which should be attended to are: slight sticking downshifting into first gear, washer fluid pump, the rear defroster. The most recent new parts, upgrades and repairs include: Differential 2 disk limited slip, 3:91 ratio upgrade, Custom built driveshaft with slip-joint, Distributor (0 123 188 002 JDF4) completely remanufactured with added petronix kit, Extra distributor (0 231 151 009 JDF4) Alternator, voltage regulator, bushings and belt, Stubby header, Ansa sport muffler and complete exhaust pipe, Cold start switch, relay and valve, Rebuilt kugelflischer fuel injection pump (Pacific Fuel Injection), Fuel lines, gas tank cleaned and new injectors, Adjustable rear sub-frame, Bilstein shocks and struts front and rear (sport), H & R front and rear springs and spacers, Front and rear brake pads, new drums, rotors and cylinders, Parking brake and cables, Brake reservoir and all brake hoses, Ball joints, trailing arm bushings, sway bar bushings, control arm, tie rods, Radiator, water pump, thermostat 80* and all radiator hoses, Ignition switch, shifter parts and bushings, Valve cover gasket, valve adjustments, intake manifold gaskets, crankcase vent hose all other hoses, Tooth belt, air conditioning belt and fan belt, (5) Rota R-20 rims, 15x6.0, 4x100, et29mm, hb57.1mm silver w/ BMW centers Locking lug nuts, Door breaks and door seals, Window regulators, Hood holder, pads and stops, Blaupunkt radio/stereo and speakers, Heater fan, water valve, core, and heater radiator, Door handles, locks and trunk lock, More new parts than I can list.
