Survivor Storage Find. PHS Documented 1980 Pontiac Trans AM Turbo Y84 Special Edition, WS6. 1 of only 3547 built. Survivor all original Numbers Matching with original smog still installed. Fires right up and drives great. This is the same car like the one used in Smokey & the Bandit II and even autographed by Burt Reynolds. With $3972.00 in original Factory Options and an Original MSRP Price of $11,550.52, this was not a cheap car in 1980. She is a Y84 SE Trans Am with T-Tops, the WS6 Package, Factory 40 Channel CB, Factory AC, Tilt Wheel, Power Windows, Power Locks all work, the B18 Interior (custom trim velour seats), remote deck lid, rear defrost and B84 Side Mouldings. This is a 2 Owner suvivor that comes with a copy of its original title and a stack of the original owners recipts from maintinace and work done in the 80s and 90s. This car was found in storage last May with 63,227 original miles based on the original owners statement and the documentation of recipts and miles recorded, and today she has 64,086 original miles on her. This car is a survivor that was in storage for the most part by the original owner the last 20 years with a buch of original owner receipts from Prestige Pontiac and Crest Pontiac as it was mostly dealer serviced. Since removed from storage; she has had typical maintinance you would do to get her road worthy from sitting, including replacing the original exhaust, tires, rubber seals, gaskets, filters and fluids. The original radio was replaced with a old pullout tape player, the AC system and compressor is original but does not kick on. I was told the battery was left in the car during storage and it leaked and caused corrosion under the battery tray on the inner fender area (see pic). The floors and under the back of the car is all original and solid. This is a very original solid car with all orginal motor, trans, rear-end and even her smog still on. The tachometer works, the clock even works, power windows and power door locks all work and even her original space saver spare tire is in the trunk. Her original owner had a repaint and decals compelted but everything else is original other then maintiance items. This Trans Am had not been in an accident or been messed with, this is a real investment grade with history and options. Regarding the Burt Reynolds autograph; I was told it was real and was signed at an event in Florida; however their is no documentation to back up the claim....so, check out the picture and you be the judge, I figure why would the owner make it up and the way it was signed, it looks authentic when compaired, your call.
