Only 2% of all Cherokee XJs made were 2 door models with much fewer being a Sport with Command-Trac 4x4 and a 5 Speed Manual. This rare transmission option with 231J/272 transfer case is great for highway speeds and fuel economy...and of course for off road purposes if needed. This low mileage Jeep has been a woman owned, garage kept secondary vehicle. It is very clean. The Deep Forest Pearlcoat Metallic paint is in very nice condition with minimal wear and none of the common body rust issues on the doors (non-sagging) and rocker panels. -The legendary 4.0 engine runs cool and strong with excellent oil pressure. Well maintained with no leaks. (Some consider the '99 as one of the best models since it has the great looks of the later models without the common cylinder head issues to possibly deal with.) Clutch pedal is firm, runs, drives and shifts smooth and quietly. New front and rear shocks too. Good matching Firestone tires mounted on factory optional Ecco alloy wheels. The tan interior is non-smoker with no other odd smells. -Carpet, upholstery and headliner are very clean. A/C blows ice cold and heater works too. Power windows, power seat, CD player, handy overhead computer and storage console, foglights and cruise control are among some of the options specially ordered from the factory. Goodyear Wranglers, not Firestone tires. Full size matching spare. Recent maintenance includes new Monroe shocks with coil-over rears, radiator, water pump, thermostat, ignition wires and spark plugs, etc. Brakes and fluids inspected with fresh oil change. No check engine lights or mechanical problems, running gear noise and secondary electrical components work such as windows, foglights, overhead computer and CD player. Interior carpet and mats are near perfect with no stains. No headliner sagging. Seats are clean with drivers having two minimal repaired spots. Usual minor sign of steering wheel and shifter boot use with a couple of other interor nicks from normal usage. Undercarriage is clean with no hidden rust issues. Professionally repainted and since received only a few small, minor dings and scratches being touched up or repaired. Jeep shows and runs very well.
