For Sale - 1998 Mitsubishi Montero Sport LS 4x4 One of a kind and a true hard to find Montero Sport LS. I am the 3rd owner of this amazing vehicle and must have personally inspected over 100 Mistubishi Monteros before purchasing this one. Ownership History: I purchased the truck one year ago with only 50,000 miles on it. The paint is 100% all original and the car is super clean for its age inside and out. I replaced the tires with brand new Firestone All Terrain, performed alignments and replaced all fluids. I also replaced the timing belt (it still had the factory original), replaced the water pump and a few of the extra belts at the same time as part of the service and preventative maintenance. Since then I have done a few roadtrips from Southern California to Yellowstone National Park (Wyoming), San Diego, San Fransisco and Arches National Park (Utah). It is also my wife's daily driver for the time being. This is a smoke-free, fast-food free truck. Condition: You will not find a better 1998 Montero Sport anywhere. No rips on any of the interior, no odors, all lights work, all windows work, all of the gadgets work. Windshield wipers, radio, cassette player, turn signals, high-beams, all work. Engine has tons of power, transmission shifts smooth, 4x4 works perfect. Dashboard controls, instrument panels, A/C work, and in perfect condition. Original tools and jack are present. Manuals, radio code, and most of the maintenance records since I've owned it are included. No leaks from engine compartment, no oil or grease accumulated near gaskets, no evidence of oil coming out of the differential either. Even though this is a 4x4 we never did any off-roading, and the condition of the undercarriage when I purchased was a evidence that this had been a adult owned, city driven car as well. Tires have 10k on them, all preventative maintenance performed. On the flip-side, the hood has a ding and some of the clear coat has pealed off. The fender flares (silver) show signs of its age and has faded paint (mostly on the front side). I took some pictures however, its hard to tell unless you are really close an in person. The cup holder is broken, the antenna is missing (I am sure its at the car wash somewhere but, I might have this replaced in time for the new owner) and the driver-side window whistles (wind noise) above 65mph. The plastic the seat belt recepticals from the back seat are cracked. Aside from the minor cosmetic items, this is a solid truck, ready for more road trips or daily driving around town. People claim this truck has made it pass the 300k mile mark problem free (Google KBB, NADA, Car and Driver, Edmund reviews).
