Power top! Bucket seats, center console, power brakes, power steering, automatic transmission.Super rare find, appears to be all original; original paint, original drivetrain, original metal, even appears to be original floor mats. The engine components even appear to be all original. Also weather stripping looks great & original! This is one of just a few authentic survivors which could actually be restored to a true 100 point show car competing in the "original" category. Restore this solid vehicle back to like new or just enjoy it & drive as-is. This is a VERY solid car & is an excellent bases to build your dream car. The most sought after color combination: Red with black interior & black convertible top.Always garaged keep, there are only a very few left in this unmolested conditioned. Drivetrain: V8 with automatic transmission. Starts & appears to be all original; fuel lines carburetor, etc... there is no known problems with the drivetrain & is presumed to have been in excellent/perfect mechanical condition when last driven and placed into storage.Interior & convertible top: Good condition with Normal wear & tear. Dash pad is smooth without cracks & dash board gauge/radio area has never been cut. Steering wheel without cracks. Body & Chassis: Almost 100% rust free. There is NO rust in any of the jams or corners of door, trunk & hood areas. Glancing underneath the floor pans look like the day it was made without surface rust & the chassis too lacks surface rust. This is what is expected when you keep you vehicle stored dry inside a garage throughout its entire life. We have only found two small locations with rust, one small spot found on front driverside fender at the bottom behind wheel opening and a second small spot also on the driver side inside wheel well opening at bottom. I emphasize that these are small areas which would not deter anyone from buying this fine vehicle as they are easily repairable. Note: trunk pan has a rusted look, but is not rusted out & does NOT have any pin holes.Wheels: original with hub caps, tires worn.Convertible power top & frame: good condition & usable.This car is very low mileage as it was parked after only about 20 years on the road and appears to have been; correctly stored now for almost the last 30 years, moved & started regularly. (we were limited to only posting 24 photographs) Both of the doors are stunning as to how well they are preserved. Photos of underside of doors will show NO rust, & are smooth & clean with original paint. Floor pans & chassis show NO rust. The Floor pans & chassis are immaculate, straight, undamaged & even LACK surface rust. The Floor pans & chassis are so clean looking that you would suspect that is how they would have looked when they left the factory. Photos available. On Mar-05-16 at 10:39:32 PST, seller added the following information: NEW INFO: For potential buyers who have opted out of inspecting this vehicle prior to bidding here is some information, the good & the bad, which might help you to decide one way or the other. Concerning the drivetrain: The engine appears to run strong & so does the transmission & differential (rear-end). All seem to be in acceptable driving condition. However driving the car is not recommended without first doing a safety inspection, such as inspecting the brakes and brake lines etc.. which are at least 30 years old & might be the original ones. The engine, transmission,& rear-end all appear to be mechanically sound. Concerning the Body: There is a dent on the passenger door which a local body repair guy says the interior door panel could be removed & the dent might pop out easily using a technique of simply hitting it once somehow from inside the door. The photos posted lack a quality shot of this issue. Photos are available to those who ask. Also when the car was moved into the sun light a third rust spot was discovered located in same place as another but this time on the passenger side, behind the rear wheel inside the wheel well area at the bottom outside edge, the size is only a couple square inches and doesn't appear to effect the quarter panel. Concerning the interior: The driver seat bottom cushion needs refreshing and stitching along with carpet repair or replacement. Concerning the mechanics of the convertible top: This is a power top and esthetically appears to be in working order. We have chosen to keep the top closed and not to test it.
