Vehicle Detail
CLEAN, completely California rust-free 1993 LandRover Range Rover County Edition. The seventh year of the Classic in Short Wheelbase ( SWB) configuration which was sold in the U.S for 9 years, starting in 1987 with the first year of importation, through early 1995. The 1993 models mark the continued evolvement of earlier models to standard-production numbers manufactured with an honest-to-goodness Antilock ABS brake system. Aside from that, all the traditional Range Rover styling and design continued on until 1995 ( the last year of the iconic Classic ) when they were discontinued and the SWB went on to become automotive history. This SWB is a SUPER SOLID, ONE -OWNER California SWB Classic, residing in Los Gatos, CA since being purchased brand-new at Cole European Land Rover/ Jaguar in Burlingame ( now located in Walnut Creek) in Northern California in 1993. It still resides there. A Silicon Valley, California Rangie since new. It scores an AUTOCHECK score of 70! in a 32-56 rating scale. The Range Rover is a County model with beautiful burl wood throughout. Completely stock, and original SWB, with low 165K original miles. It starts, idles and drives great. The engine on this Range rover was part of a factory extended-warranty replacement, performed by the dealer at 91K miles. There is NO rust nor corrosion on this vehicle, as it would be expected from a California-lived RRC ( hard-pressed condition to find in any Classic beyond the Sierra mountains). BEWARE OF RUST BUCKETS EAST OF THE WEST COAST~! This SWB comes equipped with all the comforts, standard features and amenities of its time, along with HELLA 520 Fog lights, Factory Land Rover ( rear) CD changer, roof rack, optional wheels and factory Tow package. Very nice set of nearly-new MICHELIN radial tires ( approximately 95% of tread left) mounted on a nice, clean set of factory special-order TWR alloy wheels. NEVER altered or lifted. NO NIGHTMARISH EAS to contend with, and this SWB Classic has always had a normal coil & strut suspension. NO air-deflation nighmares ever! In addition, the suspension has been enhanced with a set of LesJofors coil springs, and it rides very nicely. Stock 3.9L engine runs EXCELLENT. As it is well documented in all Land rover circles, the 3.9L was a vast improvement over the early 3.5 engines as it was more robust and had more torque as a result of engine redesigning to increase displacement to a more efficient, reliable motor. NO overheating issues, ticking nor any noises to contend with. Approximately 70K miles on a factory replacement engine, with 165K total miles, better than average for any Land Rover. Automatic transmission shifts well into all gears. Low and High transfer cases work fine. Four-wheel Power disc brakes, Power steering, Power windows and Power heated seats, Sliding sunroof and Power mirrors. Finish is VERY NICE considering this RRC is nearly twenty five years young ! Its desirable Beluga Black finish ( more of a Jet Black tone) still shines remarkably well for an unrestored Rangie. There is NO clearcoat flaking or damage to the finish on the roof, hood or filler panel areas, common on many Rovers, specially East Coast examples where the elements and salted roads have taken their toll on the body panels and undercarriage, a hindrance nearly impossible to repair! There is one small spot on the roofline as pictured. If desired, a local body shop ( 007 Motorsports in San Mateo) can refinish the whole roof for $400. I really do not feel it is that significant. The original Connolly tan upholstery is in very good condition and has held up surprisingly well. There are no cracks or tears on any of the leather in the seats. BOTH front seats are in very good condition, with no splits, tears or seam separation. Headliner has been professionally refinished from end to end ( including the sunroof shade), and it looks GREAT. In addition, this SWB still has the rare-as-hen's-teeth foldable rear cargo cover, almost always missing or usually broken in all Range Rover Classics. Overall, a very clean interior, door panels, factory carpeting and trunk area. Still has its original factory LR carpeted floormats. The photos show the Rangie accurately. NON SMOKER vehicle always. Solid unrestored 93' Range Rover County Classic. It's a truly solid, rust-free SWB, with very good miles and the good 3.9L engine. It runs very well with a strong, solid powertrain. Clean chassis, no tweaks and NO rust and still all-original interior. It will make a great traveler, off-roader or camping Rangie with some minor personal touches. I've been around Land Rovers for over 30 years, and have owned various models and vintages. Classics are the best investment for the money, specially rust-free SWBs. SERIOUS inquiries ONLY, please. I do not need nor like to photoshop pictures, depict fancy photographic shoots, scenic backdrops, what other Range Rovers look like restored, nor embellish what I sell. My reputation, my feedback and my seller history speak for themselves. And I also AM a real Rover enthusiast. Unlike the vast majority of Ebay sellers who simply sell what they do not know ( let alone car dealers!), I actually own a Land Rover ( actually, I own an LWB, two other SWBs, a 2010 Sport and two DIIs) and I am fairly familiar with all their quirks. Feel free to call me with questions at (650) 430-4660 PST. I have priced this Classic SWB fairly and way below-market to sell, as it is a nice unrestored example of a clean, rust-free RRC. A minty SWB would be way over $15K to start. And done on someone else's taste, not yours. This SWB Classic has a clear California title and currently registered in CA until the end of February 2017. In addition, it recently ( less than 30 days ago) passed its latest stringent CA Emissions test with flying colors. * FREE current AUTOCHECK report available at no charge. I am also advertising this vehicle in other venues, and as such, I reserve the right to end this listing at any time, should a serious offer or a BUY-IT-NOW opportunity present itself. Range Rover Classics are getting harder and harder to find, specially in original, unaltered condition and in SWB configuration. They are nearly impossible to find without them being all rusted out, or having to pay a premium for a clean example. Simply put, there is nothing cooler and classier than a stock, original Range Rover Classic. Period. Or you can drive a Prius or a Honda Civic, like everyone else. I shall be glad to assist coordinating shipping of this Range Rover anywhere nationwide or overseas, at the most economical shipping rate available. Please be aware, I do not control pick up or delivery times should you purchase it; that is pending weather conditions and shipping/ trucking delivery schedules. Of note: Do not calculate shipping cost based on the Ebay calculator. Shipping to just about anywhere on the East coast is less than $1000. Other parts of the U.S closer to California are considerably less, of course. I will do everything I can on my end to ensure and expedite delivery at the most financially sensible rate on the market. Should you be the winning bidder, I would like to receive payment within THREE business days, please. Payment can be made via cashier's check or certified funds. Personal, business or annuity checks may be utilized, but must clear funds first, prior to any transportation arrangements being made. If you have questions or would like to discuss other payment arrangements, be sure to contact me prior to placing a bid, please. An alternate method of payment can be done via bank wire transfer to my local CHASE Bank branch here in town. It is a very simple process, and it helps expedite delivery of the car. Upon receipt of payment, I will mail you the CA title and a Bill of sale to the car. Feel free to EM or call me with questions or serious inquiries, no later than 9 pm PST, please. Thank you all for your interest!
