Always had admiration for the W123s, still drive a sedan & a wagon. A few years ago I decided to search for the best example I could of the last Bruno Sacco styled Mercedes diesel with NO computer systems. This narrowed the search to the last year of the W124, an E300. This is that car. I can’t believe I’m selling such a milestone Mercedes but my retirement & “life-change” requires I sell my beloved cars. Since owning it I have done the following: New serpentine belt, tensioner & fan clutch. New engine & transmission mounts. New front control arms with bushings & ball joints. “High-caster” front end alignment. Removed front & rear lamps & trim, cavity sprayed (Wax-Oil) the areas I see older W124s corroding. Performed transmission & brake fluid changes. Flushed cooling system, refilled with 50/50 distilled water & MBZ coolant. Oil & filter regularly changed at 3k miles intervals with LM MBZ 522.9 spec synthetic oil. Have never had to touch the A/C even here in South Florida. Blows too cold for my wife. Had ALL glass tinted with 3M Crystaline tint including the windshield. (Warranty transferable.) All new fuel filters & seals. New engine air filter. New shift linkage bushings. Regular polish & wax of original paint. Headliner is perfect as is the sunroof. Car has all the carpet mats & custom plastic mats including the trunk. Hood insulation pad is original & in excellent condition. Equipped with larger 26 gal fuel tank. All original manuals, booklets, MBZ Classic registration, grill badge & factory data sheet. New windshield & headlamp wiper blades. Original factory radio/cassette. Been using Sirius XM radio Cassette adapter. (Dislike new stereo head). Central locks & alarm all function as designed. Flaws: Few little “up-close” paint marks. Tiny chip in windshield. Temperature gauge in cluster occasionally jumps. Back lighting for HVAC control panel not working. Summary: This is a first-class example of this series, last year produced. I have yet to see a better E300 anywhere. Send me any questions you have.
