Vehicle Detail
1967 Corvette Convertible Custom Restomod-- 1967 427 Stroked pushing over 550+hp with P/S and P/B and hard top! This car is not for the faint of heart! Corvette connoisseur this is not a NCRS car so please don't even bid on it. This car is a Pure Beast! So let me tell what my plan was for this car. I bought it a few years ago from a family member who rebuilt it from ground up. It had a 327 in it at the time. It was not number matching so i wasn't married to it. Since It wasn't number matching i decided to go the Restomod route which seems to command just as much money as NCRS cars. Instead of putting the typical LS motor in it, i wanted something more nostalgic. So i found a 427 (425hp) 4 bolt main block # and gave it to my local engine builder. I planned to beef the engine (done), Spruce up the interior, Give it a badass paint job, and slap some 18in billet wheels on it. Then this thing would have the power you would expect from it and look good. The engine is a correct year 1967 427 4bolt main bored and stroked. Engine was built by local expert builder in Sarasota Florida. The Engine has not been Dyno Tested yet but we are guessing a conservative 550 hp (thinking more like 625). It Still has original but recently rebuilt 4 speed Muncie Tranny with new Hurst Shifter. I Would definitely plan to upgrade the tranny if you want to take advantage of this powerful engine. I have had this car gone through thoroughly by local corvette shop with receipts to prove it. When building this we had nothing but high horse power in mind. We also beefed up rear end to handle the torque. I have well over 25k invested in the upgrades and engine build alone. I Spared no expense in the rebuild with all high performance parts. Here is a small list of the things i had done. 1967 427 425HP 4 BOLT MAIN Block #3916321 date code J-18-7...6k just for engine. We had it bored to .070 over and deckedNew Mcleod RST Street Twin Clutch and new Flywheel New Edelbrok Performer RPM Aluminum HeadsNew Edelbrock Performer RPM Air-Gap ManifoldNew Holley Performance 850 cfm Double Pumper #4781-8New High performance Crank, Pistons, and Connecting RodsNew Custom Hedman HeadersNew Custom Corvette PML Tall Valve coversNew Edelbrock Air CleanerNew MSD Electronic Distributor w/ blaster 2 coil. New plugs, and wires.New StarterNew Fuel lines w/ Electronic Fuel Pump to feed this BEAST! New 4" Custom Side Pipe Exhaust with original covers. Beast needs to breathe! New High Performance Comp Cams and Roller RockersNew Moroso Oil Pan #mor-20408 and Moroso Oil pump #mor-24441New rear Sway barsNew Engine wiring harness'sNew GM High output Chrome AlternatorNew Hydratech Hydro Boost Brake SystemNew "Be Cool" Radiator #BCI-80066New High Performance Water pumpNew BatteryNew struts and springsBeefed up half shafts and rear endNew GM calipers and New Brake Pads (was going to upgrade to Wilwood)New Goodrich Radial TiresExcellent condition 427 1967 aftermarket GM hood...Painted Goodwood green to match with 427 emblems. The only thing really left to do is the cosmetic stuff- interior, paint and wheels. Then this is will be in my opinion a 1 of a kind Badass Restomod!! Runs and drives great! I haven't even broke in the engine yet This car is not for the faint of heart! Pure beast mode with this bad boy! Paint is in fair condition. To be honest That was my next step is to give this beauty a good 10k paint job.The seats are in practically new condition. The original interior is in tack and no holes but could use some sprucing up. No cracks in original dash but has some fading. The carpets could be replaced and door panels shown some love. I personally planned to put a couple grand into it and make it shine like new. I also planned to drop 5k on new rims. They are old school 15" Cragars with New Goodrich Radial tires. They have some wear on the chrome with pitting.I have even more things that i have done and no detail has been missed mechanically. Most every nut and bolt in the engine bay and underneath the car is new. I also have more parts that come with it from the build out. Probably another 3-5k in parts both new and old. Oh and when we pulled the tank to clean it out we found the original tank sticker! We salvaged it the best we could. I have the pic above. This car originally was a 327 - 300 hp car. I am selling because i just had my first child. So decided this money could be better allocated. My wife gets upset that this thing wakes up the baby and every other baby for a quarter mile away! So i must let her go. Check out the videos on youtube. Corvette Running = https://youtu.be/rRpBnlRPs9oCorvette Interior/exterior = https://youtu.be/SgKbvQwWpIAPlease only serious buyers.
