Vehicle Detail
1983 Ford Mustang GT T top 302 V8 4 speed Relisted again, 2 bidders in a row fell through! First bidder never even responded to my attempts to contact them and second bidder said that the bid was a mistake because a family member had his phone... If you have less than 5 feedback, please contact me after you bid and I will also try to keep in touch with contacting bidders with less than 5 feedback as well. I understand we all have to start somewhere, I just want to make sure any bids I get this time are legit. Thank you This car is a 302 V8 4 speed T top Mustang. Posi rear with 3:08 gears. 14" American Racing wheels that are nice, but the tires need replaced due to dry rot. They have very nice tread (like new actually), they just are very dry rotted and would not be safe to drive on the road this way. The engine has a brand new Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake and matching Carb. The Air Cleaner and Valve Covers are new as well. It starts right up and engine runs and sounds great. Car will drive but the input bearing in the transmission is noisy. You can certainly drive it onto a trailer or whatever, I just would not try driving it home or anything like that. I have had the car for 2 years and it has honestly sat the whole time. I bought it to fix up but life keeps getting in the way :) The car was Red with Red interior. It was painted white at some point (not a very good job and it was not done by me lol) and I will say an "attempt" was made to dye the interior black but the interior will need re-done to be nice obviously. As for rust, there is normal fox body rust in spots on the outside of the body. The top corners of the roof had a little rust which I sealed up to stop it when I first got the car. The RH door is by far the worst part as you can see in the pics. I do have a better door that I will give with the car. The bottom of the RH quarter has repair work done to it (again, not a great job). The uni-body, floors, and all of the frame are exceptionally nice on this car with no rust. The fellow I bought the car from was in the military. He had the car for several years and it sat outside at his parents house for about 5 years underneath a tree. The pictures show the story. The car needs a lot of TLC honestly but it is all there. This is a car that if you pull the tranny and fix the input bearing you can drive it while you work on it. I just have absolutely no time at all for this car. Car is located in Warfordsburg PA if you would like to look at it in person. Car must be picked up where it sets, I cannot deliver it and with the input bearing making noise I would not try driving it. Please contact me with any questions or for more info please. I will require a nonrefundable $200 deposit within 24 hrs of the end of the auction.
