Vehicle Detail
1978 Honda CB750K SOHC Last year of the SOHC Engine. I bought this bike in 2006, it was a trade-in at my dealership. It had the Vetter touring package on it, giant king/queen seat and 3 foot sissy bar, and I ripped all that stuff of and disposed of it. I started to rebuild it as a cafe racer, but I never seem to have time to work on it. The fuel tank is off an earlier model, with hand-hammered knee indents. The stock tank on this model was the rectangle, I like the earlier rounded ones better. It has the de riguer clubman bars of course, with new grips. Have some bar end mirrors with it. The under seat area has the electrical plate welded to the frame, the one Dime City Cycles makes. The seat hinges are gone. New modern internals headlight, LED tail light and turn signals mounted up, signals need wiring. Has a side mount tag holder. New Avon tires. They have been on the bike about 3 years, never ridden. Has a new clutch cable. The bike has been sitting for a couple years since it ran last. One of my mechanics tinkered with it for a while, got it fired up. Put a new clutch in it, and I;m pretty sure the push rod lever is in 180 degrees out, just need to pull the clutch cover and turn it around. It's easy to do, has happened to me before. This bike is in pretty good shape, and it has been inside the shop for the last ten years. It's old but pretty clean, and it's generally straight-no crash damage that I can see. I know it needs a battery, a seat, clean the carbs, fix the clutch pusher, and the brakes and suspension need to be freshened up restored. It would be a good project, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't need any major work. I can't ship this bike, so you can either come get it, or send a door to door shipper like haulbikes.com. It's in the back of my motorcycle shop, and needs to be gone March 01, 2016. Feel free to ask any questions, I will reply to all Check out my other items! Stores
