The first JCW Tuning Kit to be made available for the Cooper S was an upgrade for the Cooper S, producing a total of 200 bhp (150 kW). Released in 2002, the kit consisted of the following components:[3] Uprated cylinder head, gas-flowed and portedUprated supercharger, faster-spinningUprated spark plugsUprated exhaust systemRemapped ECUDecorative badges, individually numbered engine plate and certificate signed by Mike Cooper At the time, the kit could not be factory-ordered, but had to be retrofitted at a Mini dealer, but from late 2005 the Cooper S could be ordered with the upgrade straight from factory. Now what you are looking at here started life as an original Mini Cooper S that was factory upgraded to a John Cooper works #S2412. However, the fun didnt stop there when the car had 51k miles on it and a little track time it was realized that more could be had from this go kart like animal. Sneeds Speed Shop in Winston Salem purchased the car and turned it into the track demon you see here today. The car was then raced and shown at numerous venues on the east coast and has won many awards, and was used by Sneeds Speed Shop to do R&D that has lead to a number of products that they market to mini owners around the globe. This car was not just made for the track though you can drive this everyday. KBB loanable value on this car with the mileage is $10700 there is 2x that in parts, R&D and labor so please be realistic. Not to mention the fact that this is a numbered and very collectable John Cooper Works car.
