Vehicle Detail
This is the one you've been waiting for... don't miss out.Custom Red & Black paint job, with chrome trim.Has original 1969 Sundial conversion top, so lots of headroom & storage. (Pop-tops don't give you any storage while you're driving).Custom wood-work & cabinetry throughout, with Ash & Baltic Birch wood. Amazing craftmanship. Inlaid wood countertop made with walnut and maple, and epoxy coating to prevent damage and ensure long life. Custom fold-up table made of ash, with embedded VW logo.Has custom wood paper-towel holder, wine-glass holder, and paper napkin holder with weight. Under passenger side of dash is custom wood kleenex holder. All cabinets, and the back area, have LED lights. Dash lights were also upgraded to LEDs (makes a big difference). All flat surfaces are carpeted to things don't fly around.Side awning is included, and it hooks on passenger side of bus, for when you are camping or tailgating.Rear seat has new upholstery in marine vinyl for long life. Front seats are from a 1987 vanagon, so they are supportive and comfortable.Engine runs amazing, and has been upgraded to Pertronix electronic ignition and dual Kadron carbs, new manifolds and air filters, spark plug wires, plugs, fuel filter, alternator. It has headers performance exhaust and muffler.Has a dual battery setup, so that both batteries are charged by the alternator, and so you can run 12 volt system (refrigerator, lights, power outlets, etc.) without running down the main battery to start the car. Fridge does make ice, and runs for 2 days off of second battery.Has 110 power inverter to run additional electrical appliances. Transmission and shifting are great too.Custom Alpine sound system has speakers in the front doors, and in the back also. Has CD, detachable face, bluetooth, and a microphone for the driver for bluetooth phone calls.90% of the bus has been insulated with Dynimat insulation, so for camping you can stay warmer, or for just driving down the highway it is less noisy. The heated air tube to the front has been wrapped in insulation as well.Tires are nearly new and eight-ply side wall. All 4 brakes done recently: Wheel cylinders, shpoes, all front wheel bearings.Front end has four new tie rod ends, new steering stabilizer, and all four ball joints. All four C/V have been rebacked and new books. The jack points, frame and floors are rock solid.Full disclosure, there is a small rust hole (see pics) on the right side of the engine compartment. 8 gallon water tank with running water (from GoWesty), and stainless steel sink. Dash was upgraded to add a tachometer, and so the horn button now has an embedded clock. (Horn works too).Too many more 'little' upgrades to mention. If you want a VW bus that is a dream, instead of one that is a headache and a rust bucket, then don't miss out on our beautiful little bus. We have loved it, but with a 3-year-old, our family has other priorities at the moment. We are looking for someone else to love it too!
