This auction is for a 1984 Rabbit Ive owned for about 3 years. Its Actually only got about 58,000 miles on it but when I registered the car the first time I accidentally checked the odometer roll over box (These cars odometers dont rollover until 999,999 miles). The car Runs okay once its warmed up but idles rough when its first started. It has a new alternator, starter, left CV joint, water pump, oil pump and a few other parts replaced over the last year. the convertible top is completely shot but the frame is in good shape. the cloth interior is pretty rough, especially the rear bench seat. there's 2 waterproof seat covers on the front seats. The dashboard illumination lights stopped working this summer but its headlights, blinkers and all other lights work fine. The car Has surprisingly little rust on it for its age. Its being sold as is and certainly needs some love but would be a good candidate for restoration. the body has some dings and dents but nothing major. I live on nantucket Island but I can bring the car over on the ferry to hyannis for $200 if purchased.
