Wife says it's time to move and my S4 project needs to be sold! So here it is, a 2002 Audi S4 that I bought on eBay a couple of years ago (in New York) and never finished what I wanted to do to this vehicle. I really do like the look of the S4, but I bought a Passat instead, so I need to let this one go. To start, this S4 is NOT road worthy in its current state. This is why: 1) Alternator needs to be replaced (However, battery is brand new from AutoZone).2) Engine runs rough (one of the spark plugs blew out of the engine so I had to retap the cylinder and insert a threaded steel sleeve for new spark plugs)3) Overdrive doesn't really work. Lots of vibration above 60 mph, so I have to keep overdrive off.4) One of the water hoses broke so I cant keep anitfreeze in the system. Just to clarify, there is not problem with the oil in the engine as it is clean and there has been NO overheating of the engine. Other issues:5) The pixels on the center instrument cluster don't light up as they should.6) The rear view mirror doesn't dim at night.7) The lift for the hood is missing (been using a paint pole instead which is included with this vehicle).8) The front bumper was cracked when I bought it. I rebuilt it and Plasti dipped it black. It's not bad, but you can tell that it has been repaired. Then to match the front bumper, I Plasti dipped the rear bumper as well.9) The rear driver section of the trunk was hit by a lady last year, so there is body damage (however NO frame damage).10) The cover that goes over the battery has been cracked. It will probably need to be replaced.11) The weather stripping at the top of the front passenger door has come loose and will need to be reglued.12) The title is still from New York and it is a salvage title. I never titled in it Texas.13) The covers on the front bumper that attached to the windshield squirters are missing.14) All 4 wheels have scuffing and road rash.15) The original driver's front floor mat has a half dollar size hole in it.16) The rear leather seat has 2 dents in it (probably from a baby seat prior to my purchase). However, there are NO holes the seats. The leather in all 4 seats are actually in good shape.17) The trunk mat is dirty & needs a good cleaning/scrubbing.18) Slight oil leak from bottom side of engine. Ok, now that were are done with the negatives, I believe that these are some of the positives:1) The interior is overall in really nice shape. When you open the door you still get a strong whiff of leather (very nice). The carpet (black) is in really nice shape.2) The headliner has no sag.3) The AC/Heat work very well.4) The front tires are about 70% and the rear are about 90% (Potenza 225/45 R17) and were all purchased from Discount Tire.5) All glass is good. Sunroof work great.6) Have both keys. The fob will need a new battery.7) I replaced the cabin filter and it has a brand new battery (both from AutoZone).8) I am including 2 extra 225/45 R17 tires that are good, but don't match the Potenzas.9) I took all of the plastic covers off of the engine in order to work on it. They are in a box in the trunk. 10) Have an Owners manual that I bought off eBay (included with car as well). Now I have no visions of grandeur for this vehicle and know that it is far from its former pristine condition. I am just trying to recoup some of my costs that I have invested in this car. Therefore, I am starting the bidding of this vehicle at $500. The highest bidder wins and I do have flexibility on when the winner can pick up this Audi (as of course, the winning bidder is responsible for all shipping). The S4 will start and drive up on a trailer, but as previously mentioned, this car CAN NOT be driven down the road.
