Vehicle Detail

1970 dodge challenger base model, slant six automatic (auction included a V-8 K member). Complete car, running motor and transmission. Sitting in a field for 30+ years! needs total restoration. NO RESERVE! I have seen other cars like this sell between $6,000 to $8,000. But this is nearly a complete car, clean title, some extra parts included. DEADBEATS JUST MOVE ON TO ANOTHER AUCTION don't bid unless you are ready to pay! With some initial floor pan / deck filler replacement and mechanical repairs this car could be a driver as you restore this project car. All parts on the car are rusty or needs replaced. Do not bid unless you are ready to buy the car, there is NO RESERVE!!!! $500 deposit due at end of sale, non refundable. Car needs most frame rails repaired from rust through. All sheet metal and pans need to be replaced, but you can drive as you restore to your level. This car is also on joplin mo. Craig list, reserve the right to end auction early, since it is for sale locally too. Contact me or ask questions. 417 8501972 ask for rod, I will try to answer your questions. Includes a RT hood, driver quality at best, R/T hood Needs to be straightened, this hood was one that I had from before I got the car. Auction includes an RT deck lid, also the original deck lid and the original hood (the original hood and deck lid are very rusty and I do not consider them to be restorable). The Slant six engine runs smooth. This is a bucket seat car (the bucket seats are in very poor shape maybe only a few parts can be used from them), the rear seats are good enough for seat cores and appear to be usable for restoration. The car is not road worthy, needs brakes and front end checked out since it has sat since 1982. New gas tank and sending unit. Many new motor parts. The wiring appears in tact the car has never been dismantled or parts robbed from but loose wires and sitting so long are preventing most electrical items from functioning. All glass is good and in place, most plastic door panels are in good condition. Headliner is out of the car, dash pad will need to be replaced. power steering car, non a/c car, drivers mirror is missing. I have tried to be as complete as possible. Please ask questions so that there are no surprises and you can have the best understanding of what is needed to restore this car. My rating is 100% so you can believe that I try to give as many details as possible. Good luck! p.s. - Here are some prices that I found for some parts that are needed, these do not represent all parts needed, just some of the metal that will be required at some point. Prices does not include shipping, ebay and summit racing have the best prices. These are parts that I priced, you may want to do full quarter panels or buy new fenders, hood and deck lid, that would be up to you. Floor pan $285 Trunk Pan $175 Deck filler panel $125 rear valence $185 quarter panel patches $58 each fender patches $84 eachOn Dec-29-15 at 19:16:19 PST, seller added the following information: The wipers and back up lights work. Some bulbs need replaced the electrical seems decent. I have deleted the craigslist ad , will sell with no reserve on ebay. Good luck!
