Warranty covered by Porsche of North America. The X51 is a factory engine upgrade, which, for $15,000, you get additional water cooling, and oil cooling, upgraded oil pump, full cast alloy intake plenums and ported inlet valves, higher lift camshaft, modified exhaust tubing, improved pistons, conrods all resulting (with a little more cleverness) 355 bhp . It sounds and feels subtely different and you can imagine, at the cost new, it’s rare. Whats it like? As soon as you open the door its obvious this is something special. It looks like brand new, it’s hard to find any blemish on it, now even with such few miles that is unusual. Sit in the seat and it feels like new, even the grain on the leather of the steering wheel has a differnt touch. Turn the key and you hear a mildly unusual sound with this 996. Its got a deeper note and thats down to the 3.8 X51 engine. It is and feels every bit the supercar that she is. There is absolutley no way anyone, even the most fussy could be dissapointed by the condition of this 4S. The car is triple black. A real looker. The car is in very good/excellent condition. It has been kept inside away from sun and weather exposure whenever not being driven. Red brake calipers, very cool option. The exterior paint body, is perfect except for one small section close to wheel well (see photo) Mechanically the car is perfect, and has that classic Porsche rumble. Its rocket fast ! I purchased the car in Florida, and recently drove it all the way across the country. High head turning quotient ! But now Im in southern California. All required service intervals have been performed by Audi/Porsche of N. Orlando. Most recent oil changes have been done by Theo at Bavarian Motors in Palm Springs CA.
