This is a super solid 1971 Transporter. 1971 is one of the most desired years for Baywindow Volkswagen buses as it is the last year of the upright engine, rounded rear corners, smaller oval taillights and rounded bumpers, but the first year of front wheel disc brakes. This bus is virtually rust free, with just a little rust on the front floors and the inevitable battery tray. The rockers, doglegs and window sills are all rock solid. The interior of the bus is in great shape, with both front seats in alright condition, the original cassette player and a really cute camper setup. The camper has several different table for use during cooking or playing games, as well as a built in sink and icebox. It also has a built in fresh water tank and a cute little medicine cabinet with mirror above the sink. The bus still has a transaxle installed, and the motor inside the bus in numerous boxes ready to be rebuilt. All of the parts are clean and from what i can tell looks to be a nice stock setup. There is some damage on the nose as seen in the pictures, but the door does still freely open and close without issue.
